Hmmm..have to wait for the entry, but for now not too promising..

Austrian entries I loved (from 2004):

2004 - Tie Break - "Du bist"
2011 - Nadine Beiler - "The Secret Is Love"
2015 - The Makemakes - "I Am Yours"

Austrian entries I liked (from 2004):

2012 - Trackshittaz - "Woki mit deim Popo"
2018 - Cesár SampsoN - "Nobody But You"
2019 - Paenda - "Limits"

You LIKED Trackshittaz??? Really??? WHY????

I wonder if eurovision outlets like wiwi, escunited etc.. will react on the fact that he has homophobic and sexist views. They have been informed. Also, I heard selected artists have been informed and advised to keep a distance from him. I wouldn't be surprised to see esc commentators and hurry members who are lgbt being informed abt it.

Hmm, it's ironic because he still didn't #OpenUp ::lol lol
Could this be the first time Austrian rep gets booed on the stage? Hmm...

Because it is different to all we had at ESC...
Because it has personality...
Because I like how rap sounds in German...
Because I think it was good live...

For 2015:

While Austria and Germany both finished with no points, Austria is listed as finishing "ahead" of Germany due to the tiebreaker rule that favours the song performed earliest in the running order. Therefore, Germany finished in 27th (last) place, with Austria in 26th.

 I could never imagine we would be in the position to use this criteria and rule..

This is travesty though, Austria 2015 should have been top 5 in the final.. xcry xcry1

The best Austrian entry EVER! xbow

I was too biased! They won against Conchita in the NF and the lyrics just made me ...

I'm sorry. This is a topic about 2020 homophobic, sexist Austrian singer Vincent who also has anti abortion song and potentially the only rep from Conchita land who has the chance to get booed on the stage. You have a topic abt trackshittaz on the 2012 section.

The other travesty was, that the scoring system was changed right after this unfortunate event. Austria 40 points instead of 0 in 2015.

I am im some kind of love-hate relationship with that entry. I like they sent it, it was fun, but I would always leave it in the semis.

Speaking of the songs, I usually tend to like Austrian entries since they came back, and I like that ORF seems to be really trying hard. Not big fan of Conchita’s songs or gimmicks, but that victory was quite a moment and song was actually kinda good. That 2015 result was wrong as well, I thought they’ll be much higher. I wish I knew Austrian scene better to have some favourites for the later years, but it’s fun this way as well.

I have reiterated his career on youtube and I have to say, I don't like any of his songs. I didn't even like him at Musical!. He can sing for sure, but he does not have the most beautiful voice to sing with.

I know some Filipinos from work, and they are very catholic and very ambitious. Spending too much money on looks and clothes, but there is a lack of originality. Copying styles to perfection. I expect the song to be very "been there, done that".

Austria however is not ready for Eurovision 2021. There is this huge venue in the making, so ORF won't overbear for a victory, until they are ready.

My love for Conchita is fading away, I think she is not an authentic preacher and displaying her contradictions in full in a conceit demeanour. But her victory reduces me to raw emotions. I felt shivers and goosebumps with her performance in the semifinal, and I felt excitement for the win when she sang in the Grand Final. It is an interesting moment, when you realize way ahead before the voting, that it is possible. Pure magic.

There are already ppl talking about his homophobia and sexism all over social media. I guess orf has decided to help Germany not to finish last next year. It will be interesting to see him what excuses will he give.

Well, if Sweden planned to help Germany not to finish last in 2015, it surely backfired

Well, I´m usually not that pessimistic, but I strongly doubt that I will like his song. I´ve listened to some of his previous songs on Youtube and I don´t like his voice all that much and he is also not the most likable person in my eyes. :?

I'm really underwhelmed with the choice but it was pretty obvious that after Paenda failed probably no other more original Austrian artist was interessted in doing Eurovision. I would love to see Lylit or Mavi Phoenix but I know that will never happen.

But I do remember Vincent from that musical show and he was really talented. I don't see a lot of personality right now but If they have a real uptempo banger in the bag he can sure do better than Paenda.

Don't know but the first seconds in that video on the orf.at site totally sounds like stuff Symphonix would do.
