When they announced North Macedonia, I knew that it was over for us...
I always said it would be the performance that would grant us a ticket to the final and to be honest, the performance was not strong enough. I still think that it was very well staged and in the middle PAEDA had a great moment, but the whole act did not stand out as much as needed in the stronger semi.

I only hope the typical austrian reaction "oh they don't love us - let's withdraw" will be limited to some newspaper forum boards and Eberhard Forcher will present us a great act next year.

I lost hope immediately with her performance. Everyone delivered 100% except for her. Could have been due to her cold or due to her nerves. Televote bottom 3 or last place. Maybe borderline Top 10 with juries. At least I was relaxed when they announced the finalists. Denmark deserved it the least, but another country would have snuck in, not us.

I thought Paenda was quite breathless at times, extremely nervous. And this is not the kind of song you want to sing and feel extremely nervous because you're going to get exposed.

The song and the staging wasn't a problem, I just think there was a battle of the female ballad singers between North Macedonia, Albania, and Austria and Paenda couldn't quite match up to the other two.

I think the breathlessness worked at some points (and let's face it she acted the hell out of that song and I was here for it) but it became TOO much and it sounded a bit messy. For all the clamour over the staging I don't think it was what it needed to be either.

i think it was the right thing to choose a risky song. esc is not only about winning but to present a variety of musical styles. paenda is for sure one of the most outstanding artists of this year. in my opinion this was one of the best austrian entrys. it is not fair to blame her, the breathlessness was part of the performance.

Andi Knoll knew it was over when :al: was announced.

:dk: really was the nail in the coffin in my opinion.

The last three announcements (Norway, Switzerland, Malta) I knew in advance.

I am glad that :al: made it.

North Macedonia was the direct competitor for jury votes against Austria, I'd guess. Austria had the more contemporary and interesting song and better visual concept. But Tamara nailed her vocals, which is the most important factor for the jury, I suppose. Austria's jury result might not be as good as we thought it should be.

I rewatched yesterdays performance and I like it more today. Last night I was so focused on very tiny detail of the vocals and the crowd reaction. But now with some disappointment and sleep in between I really appreciate it. The camera work was remarkable compared to other entries.

Limits is probably going to be my favorite NQ entry for a while from now on.

She didn't perform powerfully yesterday and that's the main reason why she didn't go through.

However, her jury she's performance was utterly amazing. Maybe top 5 with the juries (Malta 2015 and 2018 can relate) and dead last with televoters.
