The BS boulevard gossip news website oe24 is claiming that ORF refused to spend 30,000 € for extras like wind machines and pyros.

The wind machines would have moved the lightning sticks to edge of that stage where the pyro would have melted them, resulting in burning down the whole venue.
The Dream Team would have been so envious. :twisted:

Really don't share the optimism here. What about this song is art or contemporary? What about long stretched "you"s and stripped down instrumental accompaniment is new at all? It was dreadful at best, my friend screamed "MY GOD" when the second chorus hadn't even started. And it's such a shame, because she has such a warm, brilliant voice. Send her next year again with a song that doesn't break your eardrums and watch her qualifying easily.

I wouldn't be surprised if Paenda bombed with televoters, like bottom 2 alongside Latvia. Juries probably had her in their top 10 though.

Yeah, the jury result won't be so flattering either, given her struggle in the jury final. Borderline Top 10 at best. Maybe with the 2nd rehearsal footage, we'd be in the final and could trounce Germany once again

What do you mean? Did she face difficulties during the jury show? Sorry if it's been discussed already, I didn't follow the rehearsals!

I found the jury final video online and was quite flattened how bleak she sounded there. Her voice was quite strained. In the rehearsals she must have sounded much better.

In the jury show Pænda's podestal was put in the wrong place. This made it very unstable because it was not flat on the ground. Pænda was busy all the time not to lose her balance until she could stand up at the second chorus.
