I love "Limits" and am sad but not as sad as I would be otherwise because PAENDA prepared me for an NQ with that performance. :(

Would have probably been a different story with Filler but who cares about that now anyway... I still don't get the decision for Limits though.

They could have also just sticked to Symphonix...

I always had a little bit of hope. But during her performance it was clear, that she will not make it. Not because she wasn't bringing it, because it somehow felt so disconnected from the rest.

Staging was beautiful.

I guess ORF is already calling Boris Milanov.

Last year, Netta said "Thanks for choosing different".

This year, different songs were eliminated like flies. Portugal winning in my 2017 remains my ultimate fan highlight.

I think we scored nul points in the televote. There was no polarizing effect, most people just did not like it. The niche of lovers was too small.

I just hope that juries did not further contribute to the destruction of songs like Portugal, Austria, and did not foster bland songs.

Let's hope that the quest for a great act is soon underway for 2020. Or let's just call Symphonix :)

Called it months ago on release, was right after all. Never the less I thought the staging looked really wonderful, you have an entry to be proud of regardless.

My hope died too with her performance. Actually it already died with the jury performance, but then I thought it had glitches and decided not to worry too much about it. But it was pretty clear we won't make it.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed Switzerland. They got me.

And I liked the Netherlands for the first time, because the staging was not distracting at all.

Sweden did not captivate me like at Melfest.

It's sad Austria didn't make it but it wasn't totally unexpected. The song is no favorite of mine either, as I have said before. The staging, however, was amazing. I put Austria in 5th place in the ranking I made while watching the semi but that had a lot to do with me liking the staging and I suppose I was biased as well because it's my own country. I was hoping we would be able to qualify anyway. Alas...

At least Austria has been in the grand final for five consecutive years. In these five years, Austria achieved a 1st place, won the jury vote twice, and made it to 3rd place for the first time, so two of the three best Austrian results in the history of Eurovision have been in the last five years. That was a great streak. This year, the wrong song was chosen. I expect the ORF to learn from this mistake and to get things back on track next year. There is no shame in missing the grand final once after five years. It would only be a shame if this didn't lead to better choices in the future.

I want to add that Limits is a tasteful song, it's just not the right choice for Eurovision. I know PÆNDA wanted to compete with a different song anyway. If she had been allowed to sing the song she wanted, things might look very different now.

I want Symphonix back next year. They did a great job.

I disagree. Austria took a risk, and it did not pay off. It could have though. In the other semi, or if Paenda just would have sung better. Something must have happened between the rehearsals, when suddently wiwibloggs and other fanblogs acknowledged that there was magic and a high chance of qualifying and the actual jury and live show, when it was obvious even to me, that the ship is sinking.

Unlike in 2013, I am not hopeless. I don't think we are set for a non-qualification streak. Let's check it in as hickup.

I don't get the risk though if you have many other safe options... Risk in that case only makes sense if it's about top 5 or NQ, not about possible borderline qualification like with Limits...

Austria, I’m so sorry! I really hoped Pænda would be able to pull through. Qualification or not, though, she definitely earned a fan even after ESC! ;)

I came to like this song so much in the past days ... I feel very sad not seeing it on Saturday. :( Thank you, Paenda, for your lovely performance.

mass suidice happening in 3-2-1... Is Lindon okay? Can somebody check on mr Lindon, please???

Don't worry, I'm totally fine.

The song "Limits" is one for the arts and for me. I have been in a situation for some time now where this song spoke and speaks to my soul.

Without this selection for the ESC, I probably would have never heard Pænda's album "Evolution II". Her other songs radiate great joie de vivre and strength. This is actually contagious. Thank you Pænda.

I really liked it, always liked it, and the staging was beautiful. Don't really get it, it should have been in the final.
