Edit: Sorry, typo he said "to the final".

I'm looking forward to those prophecies being fulfilled but I just don't see it really happening like that right now.

I gave 7 I dont like vocal tone and color of the voice.. :(

That's fair enough and very understandable. The vocals were also a small wall for me as well.

I just find the reaction to this entry unusual. Considering general fan leanings this year, I would have assumed people would be very much ready for an entry like Limits. It's not usually my style to make comparisons but fans can handle 3 minutes of a song from Slovenia that never changes a thing up and the disjointedly put together Belgium. Then you've got a song that's richly textured, emotive and does actually have payoff that's just delivered in a different way (people are sleeping on that bridge section). Would a big "WOOOOAH OHHHH OHHHH" climatic moment like in the Netherlands song have made it better? No, it would have made it a cop out, and stripped away a big part of what makes this entry what it is. For me it's easily the best moody alternative entry this year and the only one (besides Slovenia) that feels entirely genuine and not at all contrived. The rest are trying too hard to titillate the masses and lose something from it.

the bridge and overall final minute of this song is a disservice to it. yes, a big explosion would please fans, but it could also very easily just not even have a build-up it didn't need when the first two minutes of the song deliver what is meant to be delivered. that's what disjointed sounds to me, not wake up. i find the fan reaction entirely understandable, though i am not as turned off to it as i was at first. paenda might know what she wants with it but sure didn't make it clear.

i do see the televote being super into it if the staging manages to be anything like the video.

Tom's new song is really stunning btw.

Would be interesting to see him returning to Eurovision fully as Tom one day...

Totally agree with all of this! I was honestly surprised by the negative reaction from the fandom. It's a beautiful song and I hope the juries will get it to the final.

There are so many downvotes on YT. Somehow I think most of them are not from eurofans but people who wanted Hyäne Fischer to represent Austria.
Even after the mixed reaction these downvotes seem suspicious to me.

Where are the good old times as life was easier. For instance 1983. No social media, no internet, no cell phones and music just for fun, for instance by Eberhard Forcher :

i also find the fan reaction interesting. everything is like Eberhard Forcher predicted it. some people will not understand it and shake their heads. the song is unique and i am sure that jurys will bring it into the final. everything else will depend on the live performance. i hope that the song will be much more emotional in the live show. i really like to listen to it.

orf does everything right. they found an authentic artist, who just makes her thing. each year Austria sends very different songs. it would be fair to reach the final again.

PÆNDA in reaction to the claim that she inadvertently revealed that she will sit on the stage in Tel Aviv.
"Maybe I'm standing on the stage. Maybe I'm not at all on the stage, maybe I levitate there."

thats funny. after listening to the song in the morning and thinking about the staging i thought she should sit on the stage (barefoot) close to the audience.

Wow, I actually like this. It has a very intimate sounding and it brings back that "nocturnal" vibe Belgium 2018 had which I really enjoyed (at least in the studio version). Kinda reminds me of Janine and the Mixtape. I don't know how will this work on stage live though. xthink

Anyway, 8 points!

Good song, I don't get all the hate and dislikes on Youtube. I hope she can deliver a good live and get the Grand Final ticket, eventhough if it´s as a borderline qualifier. I'll give it a 7.

Hard to say what I think of this. It's not the sort of thing I usually go for, but I can see it growing on me over time due to its atmosphere, like Slovenia did. It's already growing a little.

Whether it grows or not, though, I appreciate it being here; it's clearly doing something different, which is always nice to see. 6 points for now.
