It's indeed fine, but it's somehow forgettable and there isn't a bridge or something to do the difference, 4 points!

A few months ago, I read through the Austrian thread of 2014, and back then there was nothing much less skeptical written after the song release.

A very bold choice. Not my usual style, but misses my top 10 by a hair - :7: points.

orf said from the beginning that this years entry was not written for the esc and it would not be a typical esc song. thats the concept and i think the staging will be very reduced as well. this is a very emotional song focused on the artist. either she can catch the audience on the big stage or not. fireworks, windmachine, half naked dancers? I dont think so ;-)

The composition and production on this... stunning. I was under the impression recently that fans wanted things that are different and original. Dare to share similarities with a previous entry and you're generic and basic (not shading anyone here as I've used those exact words to describe things too). Then this comes along, a really strong piece of alternative electronic music that's very much about that atmosphere it creates (which is gorgeous IMO) and it's being whacked to pieces by people. What are those Youtube dislikes even about?

Limits does its thing quietly but there are a lot of different textures at play, and it manages to keep an intriguing atmosphere for the full three minutes. It does it's synth pop stuff with authenticity. It wasn't made for Eurovision and it really shows.

I think I'll go 7 or 8 in the poll. The vocals if I'm being honest aren't exactly my usual thing and will take some getting used to. The "you" hook as well. It's a quality piece of music though, and it was obviously made with no pandering (dat accidental pun) in mind. It's a very respectful entry.

Boring as expected. Don't like her voice either.. Austria stays my least fav Eurovision country xshrug

Chances to grow on me are also low because her voice will quickly become annoying ..

3pts

She thinks she is interesting because she has blue hair.

You think your comment is interesting because you like bops.

The first verse is the best non-Sammarinese segment of any song we have this year. I'm not sure I would've gone where it goes from there, but at least it gots somewhere, and the bridge is also prima. Very nicely done, Austria. 10 points.

What a pleasant surprise. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't warming a seat near the very bottom of my list for Austria after the artist announcement, but this is great.

This song caters to sensible and sensitive people - like me. It also reveals how spoilt the common taste is nowadays. bop bop bop bang bang bang boom boom boom fuego. repeat. <<

I listen to classical radio all day. It gives me life. I actually loathe pop music. If there are 5% lovers of sensible music at Eurovision, that does not stick to formulars, then there are enough televote points and jury votes. I was never confident about our qualifying chances, but this year I am more than ever. It actually could win the jury vote in the semi.

I am happy the song does not finish on a climax. I dont need that. It would impair its value.

I hope to see a match with Portugal this year in the Grand Final.

This is the boldest choice of ORF ever, I think it is my number 1 Austrian entry already, dethroning Zoe and Schmetterlinge.

Love this xlove the mood of the song, her voice... Is heavenly!

I fear that this is too understated to make an impact but I trust they will serve us great staging xpray

There is always room for understatement. Proven by Portugal 2017 and Lithuania 2018. The most heart drenching songs of the last two years.

This year my own country pulls on my heart strings.

Well that was fast. Listen #5-6 made me emotion. God, the way she sings the verses. I can't. 12 points.

THE GOOD:
-This song has quite the sound, overall.
-I also appreciate that she doesn't try too hard with her vocals, which matches what the song is going for.

THE BAD:
-A bit boring, but I expected that.
-Parts of it veer into that Disney-esque sound, but it's not prevalent.

THE VERDICT:
I'm a simple dude. I hear ethereal music that sounds like it comes straight from Pure Moods, and I approve. This is a nice effortless effort from Austria, and it'll be in the Final. After that, it'll be declared "a bit safe", and probably won't win. Nice song in the meantime, though. 8 points
