It's so funny that People only bring up the "it's a song contest, not an appearance contest"-argument if they don't like the song. If they like it, appearance, show and staging is considered a part of the song and is even praised. But when they don't like the song - all of a sudden they all become musical purists. And this is not only true for Austria this year. Same with Elvir Laka (Bosnia 2008), Verka, Silvia Nott, Eric Saade, even Emily de Forest last year, where haters claimed she just won because she sung barefeet. Come on... be realistic: the ESC has ALWAYS been a combination of both looks, songs, gimmicks and staging.That's what it's all about. Reclaiming now that it should JUST be the music is a lame argument.
