This song keeps growing on me. It's such a fabulous song and I hope that it does well. I'm not sure that the Eastern European countries (more Conservative countries) are not gonna like this song, rather the singer. It's interesting in that the song is very old in style (James Bond type-theme), yet Conchita herself is very modern. Good luck, Austria! xcheer

^^ The problem is that there are many people who dislike this singer both in conservative and non-conservative countries.

Boring! I would expect something better from a singer who already catch you attention because of her outfit---however, it all stays in her outfit and you don't even remember the tune after a first or second listening. Disappointing

Seeing almost every possible interview with him, it's unbelievable how high are the viewing figures compared to the other eurovision singers interviews. And of course people tend to click dislike to the videos. But I find that it is good that people follow his interviews, because they might change people opinion at some time...

People are interested in the character.

And no matter people's opinions of the character, this breaking down of the perception of gender can only be a good thing.

That's true. The orchestration really reminds me of songs from the past Eurovision years. A song like that could really win Eurovision back in those years.
It's a bit old-fashioned, but it's very good.

I feel bad for saying this but i'm finding myself increasingly disappointed by Conchita's live performances of the song. I was aware from the studio version that she was pushing her voice to it's absolute limit. Live the song comes off as very strained and far too careful as well. How meticulous she is being doesn't work wonders for the song. Ideally she should just be belting it out without it looking like she's concentrating on what's about to come. There is no weight behind the big notes.

I'm still rooting for Conchita but my hype has died down quite a bit. I'm looking more forward to Vilija and Tijana now.

You shouldn't say things that make you feel bad. Keep that in my mind.

I still love the song though and will almost certainly be voting for her on the night. Just so far the live performances have disappointed me and I think she needs to let go more if she can. She's singing a gargantuan song but her voice doesn't seem to come from the chest where it really should be coming from.

Conchita certainly has one of the best songs of the year but live performances just haven't clicked with me and that's the most important part. Her voice isn't naturally powerful and i've yet to hear her reach that sweet point she hits in the studio version.

Conchita is still a man in drag. But you measure with her with actual female vocalists. A man can dress like a woman but he cannot fully disguise his vocal abilities.

And he/she has improved a lot since Starmania......

A man can still have a powerful voice though. If we were to be realistic, the song is too big for Conchita's quite thin voice. In the studio version she gets away with it. I just hope she'll recreate that moment on the big night when it counts.

She's also continuously off key and out of time on the "No one could have witnessed what you did to me" line in the second verse when performing the song live.

I imagine on the big night of Eurovision, there will be a lot of people who will just share the same excitement I first had when I heard the song for the first time. The song is so immense that for the longest time I was able to overlook the less desirable qualities of Conchita's voice. The song is still immense and I hope it does well (possibly even win)xqueenbitch

actually, I was more impressed by her first live performance than the studio version in the video...

at least she has more class than Aziz, who comes across like a porn drag and everyone was comparing Conchita to him at first.....

probably the lamest parody I've ever seen in my life. Not only from a technical point of view. But where are the funny parts of it? It's mainly a bad copy of the Video. The only funny part is, when he scratches his chest - that is some irony, but the rest..... xboring

I was thinking the exact same thing. I mean I appreciate the effort and all but it's not really clever. It's basically just a Conchita lookalike acting weird. Where are the creative people when you need them? They could have had Conchita accidentally choke on one of the rose petals, trip while doing her sexy walk, or something to make us laugh. But it fell flat.
