Yeah, that's pretty surprising I must say.

But now that I think of it, it's maybe because some French "leading" figures reacted to Conchita's victory, unlike all the previous years. There was interest towards Conchita, both in a positive and negative way.

I guess they invited her for what this victory means, rather than the song which seems to go unnoticed in France as every year.

I think song from Holland was the biggest success this year's competition. One month after Eurovision no one cares about "Rise like w phoenix" and according to peak positions and comparing last years only 2011 winner had worse results on music market.
