Ok, I rewatched the performance and maybe it's not as bad as I initially thought, but still if this wins it's going to be the worst winner ever. I still think the performance is kitch but at least the concept is quite unique I guess. Also Kate seems like a sweetheart, so I'm happy she's happy!

Well said. I couldn't put it any better. So, one huge like from me. Congrats to Aussies otherwise!

I still think this is more of a performance-entry than a song-entry and a little odd tbh.. but it is interesting at the same time and I wanted it in the final and am pleased it succeeded.

I don't however think it will make my top 8 in the final on Saturday but we shall see.

Aside from the fact that I still wonder why no other countries far away from Europe are invited to participate here: This stage presentation obviously and effectively prevents the viewers from discussing the song itself. The art of distraction, in perfection. Russia now has a real opponent in that category.

She nailed it totally xlove xheart

This is the type of performance that will stand out even in the next 10, 20 and even 30 years. It looked (and sounded) surreal.

Anyway, fanboyism aside, I am sure that :au: can win and I will do everything to make that a reality (by voting of course).

Re-watching the performance and damn, I get chills every time. She sure snatched some wigs already. I can`t see how anyone else could have won the semi at this point. Top 5 finish in the final seems more than likely. Go for it Kate!

The performance is honestly incredible. I love the song, her voice and the staging and I am so glad she got through on Tuesday.

My only concern is, the staging potentially takes away from just how good her voice actually is. I don't think this will negatively effect her success on Saturday, but it's just a thought. People are understandably focusing on the staging (especially those who's annual Eurovision exposure is tuning in blind on Saturday night) but it seems a discredit to only focus on the staging when there was much more there!

EDIT: Oh this is basically what Gordon_Shumway said... I really should read a bit before I post  but the point still stands!

I placed a bet on Australia winning after Tuesdays semi final. If they win I get £110. After watching tonight's semi I'm fairly confident as nothing quite excited me the same as Heidi.

I really think she has a chance to win on Saturday. I could see her snatch the jury votes like in 2016 and get 2nd or 3rd in the televote

I think televote will be higher than jury.

I really think she can win after watching semi 2.
This package is too out there and special. This will probably have Australia's highest televote to date.

And she's basically the only big favourite who drew 2nd half. :)
