First time I've seen/heard this and loved it. Great performance, I could see it winning, though I think somewhere 2nd-5th is probably the most likely placing.

It was probably the best performance of all time in terms of staging. It was shocking. I think that Australia might have just found the recipe to get both the public AND jury on board. This is beginning to feel like the win is theirs for the taking. I'm still not crazy for the entry as a piece of music (though I've softened a bit) but wow, three minutes of wonderment. I wouldn't mind if Australia won.

If even Australians start sending songs I like, who am I gonna hate now?

Seriously though, "Zero Gravity" is the kind of creative/off-the-beaten-path effort I'd like Aussies to keep on showcasing in the future. If you don't mind, I'd like to think it's your debut song, because the comparison with your three previous entries would be... a massacre for the latter.

Out of curiosity, I've listened to the other popular options of your brand new NF (namely "2000 and Whatever" and "On My Way") and... thank the Lord Kate won because I find her miles better than those other acts. They literally are like night and day.

Like I said in the discussion thread, I originally thought your staging was hyped up for nothing (a la Sound Of Silence) but no, this is really the most impressive staging I've ever seen in Eurovision. Marvelous work! The illusion of being in outer space is very well done!

I'm not entirely sure how far Kate will go, because the song is an acquired taste, although your team managed to make it as palatable as possible. Personally, I wouldn't mind you winning with this, that would be deserved and it would make an original winner.

I'm genuinely glad you distanced yourselves from generic pop for a year, hopefully it'll continue that way. :)

You can thank Kate: thanks to her, you lost a hater, you gained a fan.

I didn't like the song, but after that performance it's been stuck in my damn head all day!! She nailed it. I was so proud! (I watched it live and voted). :3 Hearing the audience singing along and the cheers, that was special for us too.

Woo! More than anything, I'm happy about the qualification (and the positive reaction) because I hope it'll show SBS that the national final paid off. I'd like to see another one next year.

The song & staging were certainly impressive but oddly enough, I feel slightly underwhelmed after hearing all the hype from rehearsals. Kate was perfect, the concept is great and the backdrop is beautiful, but it all feels a bit static to me. I wish it evolved a bit more over the course of the three minutes in some way.

Still, that's a minor nitpick; I'm very much proud of our entry this year, and I'm thrilled to see other people in the fandom enjoying what we have to offer for once. I think finally moving away from the "DNA-composed song with SJB staging" has done us well.

No idea where we'll end in the final but I'm curious to find out!

I just hope Australia will now realize they don't need Swedish or any other stage producers/people to create good staging for them.

Well well well ... this performance was truly outstanding. Her vocals were a bit shakier than I expected and the song is still a little to weak for my taste BUT she totally deserved to qualify.

Song: 5/12
Performance: 12/12
Vocals: 8/12 (she can to better, I know it)
Overall: 8/12
Personal Semi Ranking: 1 out of 17

This is the real Australia spirit. CREATIVE!! Not the same streamline pop songs for the past 4 years. The national final in February changed everything. Can't wait for 2020.

Magical, best Australian entry ever etc. It takes a special kind of performer to get you onside and believing her story when she's dressed as snow queen flying over the earth screaming in soprano, but Kate Miller-Heidke has done just that. Bravo.

I don't like that u can see black poles sticking out in her performance. It kinda kills the illusion. Opera never worked on eurovision and this is not my cup of tea. Only cvet z juga and Estonia last year were operas I could listen to even after esc. This song is meh, staging is good and what brought her in the final.

Actually, I think it was great they showed poles. Remember Sweden last year?! It didn't work because people got lost and thought it was advertisment and nat the actual live presentation. :D

I usually barely watch the clips from the Semi Finals again the day afterwards, but today I already watched the Australian performance four times, one of the best performances in recent years and very creative.

She could have this. She should have this. It was just beauty, peace, serenity, power, freedom, wonder all in one, and it made me feel all of that. She totally succeeded in conveying her message. Incredible. :)

The chorus annoys me so much and yet for the past few weeks I find myself mumbling it all day and not being able to get it off my mind. It's maddening! But I have to admit that the performance was amazing! Plus, I like Kate. She seems nice.

Her hey you bothers me to no end every time I hear it. And her red lipstick, uh. Other than that, it's one of the few entries I found enjoyable in this semi. :(
