It was Spain and San Marino fighting for my first place, and now Australia got in the way after tonight. I am lost in three entries now.

2nd half, top 5 is more and more likely, could very well be a "Spzak" with massive televote support and low jury support

*After seeing Australia*

So, we're basically done this year.

I NEEDED TO LIE DOWN AFTER WATCHING THAT. HOLY FUCK. I'm currently lying in bed, huddled naked underneath three fleece duvets clutching my laptop with feverish intensity because this performance shook the very core of my world.

Tonight's performance of Zero Gravity was... an otherworldly experience. I often use hyperbole in my writing for stylistic reasons, but every once in a while you come across *that* entry where even superlatives fall short on describing my emotions. I was whelmed by Slovenia, but Australia overwhelmed me. Breathtaking. Spectacular. Not of this fucking world. I never thought that anything could dethrone Zala & Gasper as my favourites of the year or make Hatari look tame by comparison, but Kate not only pulled both off but has me craving for EVEN MORE.

Zero Gravity isn't just the best Australian entry ever. It's one of the best entries in this very decade, if not of all times. I cannot wait until it rightfully wins on Saturday. NOTHING HOLDING HER DOWN, NOTHING HOLDING HER DOWN DOWN, NOTHING HOLDING HER DOOOOOWN.

This is Eurovision 2030, not 2019. Imagine if Game of Thrones happened in 1970.

We don't seem to agree very much, but what a magnificent post that pretty much sums up how I felt. Nice one.

Well according to the euro fans this is supposed to win, but it seems Kate's youtube performance from tonight has less views than Cyprus, Slovenia, Iceland, PORTUGAL and Greece (and Iceland, Portugal and Greece were uploaded after Australia). Certainly not the people's winner ;) The performance is synonymous with kitsch and there is no way this is even close to coming in Top 3.

As far as I recall Dami Im also underperformed with Youtube views. It's fairly high when you consider the poor popularity of the contest in :au:

And... We have our winner. I know this already without seeing the next semi. Congrats to Heidi. You've won. It was magical.

I don't quite understand your point? Could you speak a bit more plainly, please?

Lol, now San Marino has the same amount of views like this supposed winner. Are you saying Eurovision in Australia is watched by the same amount of people as in San Marino?

Just to clarify, I like the song, I just think she can be happy to even reach Top 10 (and that's also unlikely), but she would have been better off using staging from national final. This is simply kitsch.

Crazy Turkish fans explain the viewing numbers of :sm: Turkish news channels promoted him all day

Like it or not, I can't see Australia getting anywhere below top 3.

Serhat is way more popular in the fandom than a first-time attender.

Obviously THE performance of the evening... I've never seen anything like it really and I was a bit afraid something would go wrong and if that would have happened... she could have REALLY hurt herself... this is a good example of making the most of the LED's and use gimmicks to actually fit the entry and lift it to higher dimensions... it was completely over the top but it worked as an overall package and as a viewer you are just amazed visually... I applaud :au: for finally daring both musically and performance wise... I don't want this to win as I think there are some better songs and I still struggle with the idea of :au: in this whole thing, but I wouldn't mind a victory though if it happened... although the song is like so over-the-top ESC that if it will be a winner entry it probably wouldn't survive outside of the bubble, but the performance will go down as a classic for sure...

Kate Miller-Heidke does sound like a winner’s name tbh. I could imagine it mentioned in Eurovision winners recaps in 30 years.
