what is the problem with Australia hosting ? (real question)

Not a problem like "i have a problem with it" but technical reasons.
if the show airs at "normal hour", that's fine. Okay the artists/producers/people in Australia will have to perform early in the morning but i guess you barely sleep when you're going to perform in ESC, you're too excited.
Maybe it's all about the price ? some countries won't be able to afford the travel ?

This is fabulous..ESC 2016 improved a lot in the last few days...

At the beginning I gave to all entries very low marks, and now in last few days appeared several songs I ADORE..

This one is brilliant in studio version, such a good pure RnB..I simply have to give it 12 in the poll!!

BRAVO Dami Im!! xclap xyaaay xyaay

If the thing really happens, the contest would still be hosted in Europe as SBS should choose a partner for hosting it.

I'm a fan you know, so i know what is supposed to happen if Australia wins. What i don't know is the reasons why they're not hosting it (more than just not being in Europe, seems a weak excuse imo)

I was expecting a Lady Gaga-ish uptempo song  It has a very weak chorus but other than that, it's a good song, it can be improved to perfection in stage. It seems like this song will be what jury will give all the points so Russia cannot win.

I could actually imagine this one doing really well.
It's a normal pop song, but at the same time something that stands out.
For me personally it's just somewhere around rank 8-10.

Australia for Eurovision Forever!!!
What a high quality beautiful song increasing the level of whole ESC. Sounds really impressive but still not a winner for me. :8: pts

Considering how low my expectations were when I saw it's Dami Im, the song isn't even that bad. This kind of music is just not my cup of tea, but the song is actually ok-ish for its genre.

I don't think they'll win but what happens if they really do? I guess it would be only fair to let the 2nd placed country host it. :?

Well done, but very safe and by-the-book. Sounds like a collection of "proven appeal" elements. Lots of energy, but no human touch and nothing to give the song a character of its own. Could do quite well with the right staging, but i liked Guy's song more.

Is this it? I expected a lot more from Australia. This is as generic a pop song as humanly possible. It's not bad, but this isn't winning. Chorus is weak as a kitten. Once again Russia laughing their arses off at these weak efforts. 6 points.

Because the lyrics are very repetitive, and the musical backing isn't strong enough. It's one of the main issues with the majority of songs at this year's contest. They just don't have powerful choruses, and this is another one.

This becomes my number 1 for 2016, I confirm it officially!

Now let's see what's left to be chosen:

1. Czech Republic - can be good, but I doubt Gabriela Gunchikova can beat this on my list...
2. Sweden - Hmmmmm...I didn't see Australia live, so maybe if David Lindgren, Lisa Ajax, SaraHa or Frans win, can beat Dami Im on my list..
3. Azerbaiajan - the same as for Czech Republic, but Azerbaijan with Swedish composers smth does miracles, so we will see..
4. Serbia - really promising, but I doubt it will beat Dami Im
5. Italy - maybe if Francesca picks smth EXTRAORDINARY, but it will be very hard, almost impossible for her to beat Dami Im on my list, with current song (from San Remo) it will hardy enter my TOP 10 for 2016..
6. Malta - the same as for Italy, Ira can't beat her for sure.."Chameleon" is even weaker than Francesca's San Remo entry...
7. Lithuania - nth from their NF final can beat Dami Im..or enter my top 10.
8. Bulgaria - I like Poli, there are some chances that she will be my number 1 in 2016. but chances are slim..still I will keep it open for her..
