No dont like this idea. I wish they'd just make Asiavision for itsself :p

Eurovision should be for full members of the EBU + "European" countries outside of this area.

Maybe some form of Globalvision? or Worldvision?

The top 6 from each continent (Oceania/Australasia/Australia will be with Asia, go to a global contest and the world votes for their favourite song - obviously due to time zones the results would have to be delayed so the world could vote.

Not yet.
At the moment let's focus to the countries that are interested in some way for Eurovision.

I didn't mean make ours a global vision, but a semi final for a global vision.

I don't really understand why no other continent has come up with a show like Eurovision yet. I think the concept should also work in other parts of the world, like Latin America.

The ABU Song Festival is quite weird. It's like Eurovision stripped of everything that makes Eurovision interesting.
No winner and therefore no privilege to hold the contest in case you win, no voting, no live show (in most participating countries), no fancy stage and big budget. Why would anyone care?
Licensing Eurovision and doing it the same way as in Europe would make much more sense.

This! I can get why some people might be annoyed with us Aussies being in the contest, but I feel like anyone who says we should be happy with Asiavision/ABU Song Festival/whatever you call it hasn't actually watched the thing. The lack of voting, winner, spectacle, budget and everything else you mentioned means that it feels nothing like Eurovision at all. On top of that, I can't recall a single decent song from the year I watched - it was roughly 50% tuneless wailing over traditional instruments for 5-10 minutes per country (particularly the SEA/Middle Eastern countries), and 50% equally tuneless bottom-of-the-barrel pop (Australia, Japan). And I say that as someone who can quite enjoy music from all of those countries!

Okay so recently there has been some speculation that the ABU TV Festival may become competitive:
It was first speculated when Indonesia(2016 host) made propositions:
http://eurovoix.com/2015/06/25/indonesia-abu-tv-song-festival-2016-proposal-presented/

Now there are plans to start a ABU Cup TV Song Contest:
http://eurovoix-world.com/asia-abu-to-create-a-competitive-song-contest/

Now why am I posting this here?
Because late last year the EBU promised to look into the posibility of having an Asian guest star:
http://eurovoix.com/2015/07/16/eurovision-ebu-to-look-at-possibility-of-asian-guest-star/
Plus one of the organizers of the ABU Cup TV Song Contest is Hunan TV which tried unsuccessfully to join Eurovision. More details will be revealed on 27th October 2015:

So it finally happened we are going to have a competitive ABU contest:

I just hope they won't have problems with the EBU like they did last time and ended up with Australia in the contest.
But seeing how the current head of the EBU is Asia friendly I don't think she will cause them problems also Jon Ola Sand is against further expansion so let's hope for the best.

Because if they fail this time We are going to end up with South Korea in the contest.

The ideal concept, from my point of view would be:
9 qualified countries from each Semifinal + Big 5 + Host = 24 countries + first 3 countries from ABU song Festival = 27 countries.
That would be a more gentle way to co-operate non eurovision countries with Eurovision.

I have changed my mind.
Only the host should be directly in the Grand Final.
Then, 10 countries should qualify from each Semifinal.
So, Host+10+10=21
And also first 5 countries of ABU song contest should qualify to the Final.
That means 21+5=26 countries. Stiven, what do you think ? :)

Why would you want that many ABU countries in the Eurovision final instead of European countries? Giving the ABU winner one guest spot would be one thing but five Asian countries instead of European countries would be way too much.

Because EBU & ABU should be one big family.
Asia could be a new big market.
China, India, Japan, South Korea, Kazakstan etc. could bring diversity.
After all, we accepted Australia, why not other countries too !
Not to mention that 5 spots are not that much, less than 20% !
