We will return next year but in English!

There's just so much I can cope for one year, so please let us have that argument next year then

I guess the best thing that could happen to ESC now is if a native language or atleast bi-lingual entry wins, but ESC needs an entry that can cross-over to become a hit in atleast some European countries... so it has to be a song with potentially hit appeal (in other words no "Molitva" type of entry).

"Kedvesem" from last year was one of the few entries that atleast had some minor success in some markets outside of Hungary, so I guess it's not impossible (though it's very hard to get a hit outside of your linguistic region in anything but English)...

Donatan & Cleo COULD potentially make it happen...

Gosh I'm talking about so many things in one thread that are sorta unrelated to the topic... I blame you because you started it!

You think? I can't recall the last time there was a cross-continental German hit, perhaps Tokio Hotel some years ago xshrug

I never liked Molitva xshrug But for instance I loved Oro, but obviously that would never have the possibility to cross-over to Europe either xshrug We simply don't live in a climate where it's "possible", and it's a real shame, but the music industry is pretty much ruled by a narrow-minded view.

Have they decided what language Hersi will sing in? The heading here has the title in Albanian but on Eurovision.tv it only has the English title listed xthink

I kinda like this. I'm not amazed by it (at least for now) but I'm thinking that it might have an even better revamped version. I rarely like Albanian entries, so it's a progress. xup

7 points for now.

So, is the English version that would be performed in Copenhagen ?

The participant profile on Eurovision.tv says the English name of the song.

Hersi Matmuja - One Night

Hmm, did they just change the title to the English one? "One Night's Anger" is a direct translation right? I still cross my fingers that they understand that Albanian would work in favor for this and drop this delusion about English.

Now I don't know what the song is about. But does she have to look so angry? I actually like this song. And please don't translate it to English. Part of the songs strenght is that it is in Albanian. It has some kind of mystery over it. 6 points
