And here I thought you had some good insider info like they're choosing Albanian or something... xshrug

This is something good, a lot of fans have been dying to know when the song will be released and of course the language. But there will be news about the language soon, be patient. :p

That article pretty much states that a) the new version will be released in a month and b) it'll probably be in English...

so not sure if it's good news for the fans xshrug

I don't know if this song would sound good in English, so I won't say 100% that I wouldn't prefer it before I listen to it (if there will be an English version). And don't kill me please, I'll support the one that sounds better to me, I'm not a language crusader, although I prefer songs in native languages most of the times and I was very disappointed in the past by some songs that were in native languages but then they changed them to English. But this song gave me the impression that it wouldn't sound bad in English, but I might be wrong, and in the back of my mind is also the possibility of some bad or non-sense lyrics in English as many ESC songs have, so for now I'd say I'd prefer it to stay in Albanian, since it sounds nice as it is anyway, and in Albanian the singer can put all her feelings into the preformance, something that might be lost if she sings in English.

What is this 2nd version that has different kind of drum track than the original version? It isn't the final version, correct?

Not good news for fans? I think you're just annoyed it might be in English lol considering you always complain about it.

I think so, I've seen pictures of some guy playing some weird instrument lol

I'm kind of annoyed that it is taking them this long to do a new version of a song premiered in December. It should have been released already.

Well to be honest, it's only a good thing that they are taking their time. It's really what all countries should be doing. There are too many late selections this year. The time they will have to make improvements on their songs will be so tiny. Albania always have the best, most drastic revamps because they allow themselves the time to work hard on their songs. I'm willing to wait if the results are going to be great.

How is it good news? If someone is a fan of the Albanian version, why would they be happy if it turns English?

And waiting is never fun, but hopefully it means that they take their time preparing a good revamped version.

It would be a mistake to give up the Albanian language, IMO.

Anyway, Albania always dazzle me.

Wikipedia's main page for ESC 2014 has Albania as singing in English

Eurovision Song Contest 2014 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Well, anyone could edit there... I think they base that on the signals given by Hersi and her team and the fact that the English title is added to Eurovision.tv...

I still hope though that they get their senses together and realize that Albanian would benefit the entry more than English xshrug

Not so, the Eurovision article is semi-protected so only reputable editors can change things. We shall see though as no source is cited.
