There is no need to say good luck, cause Germany and Serbia will destroy Bahrain and Australia  xcheers

Croatia will play against Algeria tonight. I think we shouldn't underestimate them, because they showed against Serbia, they are no joke :?
I expect much better play today. 1st half against Romania was a disaster imo. Also, I hope Duvnjak and Kopljar will recover. We miss them.

Wow, we destroyed Aussies... :?
but anyway, hardest r yet to come...Denmark, Croatia, Romania....I'm not so enthusiastic about these matches at all. They're strongest opponents in our group, we'll have accurate image of our team after these matches.

Croatia won 26:15 (11:11) against Algeria. It seems that the Croats had problems in the first half, yet again. And what is with Algeria?? Denmark won 39:30 against Romania, but they had only +1 at the half. I gotta admit, Romania played really well in the first half. Denmark is doing well only from fast breaks and break-throughs.
France won 28:19 against Egypt. I believe the deciding games will be between Germany and Tunisia or Egypt vs. Spain, in group A.

^ Yes, we had problems again :?
In 2nd half Croatia scored 15 goals and Algeria only 4. I think this says it all. I don't get it. We always sleep in the 1st half and then explode in 2nd
I hope this won't happen against Serbia or Denmark. Ivano Balić is handball God as always :D xheart
Algeria has different defence tactics. And they are so agressive. It was kinda funny watching them driving into our players

The biggest surprise so far is Austria's defeat from Japan.

We smacked the Aussies :D I can't say anything about the game itself though, as they are clean outsiders and amateurs, but to see what will happen against Denmark tonight. Then we will see the real face of the Serbian team. What we must do is be more aggressive in defense, and use wings more, not base the whole tactics on "I hope the keeper will defend abnormally, and that backs will score all the goals". The same thing must work out against Croatia as well.

Btw, I watched the first half of Algeria - Croatia on HRT2, and it seems that the deep defense of the Algerians created troubles for the Croatian team as well. But in the end, you managed to defeat them easily :) Algeria is not that weak as everyone say obviously.

Congratulations to Germany as well, Bahrain is just a better training :D

Yes you´re right. Bahrain was a trainings partner. But today it´s the first really hard match against Spain. I think, it will be a very closed match and all can happen. The German defense has some problems but I hope these problems will be far away tonight.
I also cross my fingers for :hr: and :rs: tonight. I think Croatia shouldn´t have any problems against Australia, but for Serbia it´s a really hard match. Denmark has a very strong team. Good luck!!!

Some surprising results tonight:

Slovakia - Argentina 18:23, a bit odd result
Romania - Algeria 14:15 , defensive tactics, gotta love them. Technically Romania is still in play if Serbia loses to Croatia.
Serbia lost 27:35 against Denmark. I guess they were caught in counter-attacks. Croatia won 42:15 over Australia, nothing much to comment there. Poland won over Chile with 38:23, Hungary over Brazil 36:24, Norway over Austria 33:27, Sweden over Korea with 30:24 and France over Bahrain 41:17. In the derby, Spain won 26:24, which is a bit surprising, as i thought that the Germans had a better team this year.

I guess I was right:lol: We're inferior with Denmark (although 1st half wasn't so bad), and I think we will also lose from Croatia, but with Romania we can win.

Croatia vs Algeria 42-15 and it was probably the last "easy" match in our group. I expect for the next games to be "the infarct ones" in the real point of view.;) Serbia and Denmark are very strong teams. Denmark proved it today against Serbia, who we play against in Wednesday. But I believe our team built the play and technique till now and that they will do their best!:):lol:

Get ready for the surprise of the tournament, Sweden - Argentina 22:26! And Argentina is likely in the next round, as they only need a tie against Chile. Chile shouldn't be underestimated as they earned a tie against Slovakia 29:29, yet another shock.
Norway barely won over Brazil with 26:25 and Hungary won not so convincing over Japan with 28:24. Poland won 25:20 over Korea and they are in to the next round. Currently, Iceland is losing against Austria. It seems that Austria always plays well against Iceland.

I am pretty satisfied with how we played against Denmark. They are just a better team, and I can't say much when we really gave our best. The only thing I don't like is that we are still coming back slowly, we don't use Nikcevic the way we should (the fastest player in the squad), we messed several good counters because of that, and that we don't use wings much. I think we should give them a much bigger role tomorrow against Croatia, or we will lose the same way. We must play faster, braver and risk a bit. Croatia is a clean favorite tomorrow, but we aren't chanceless. I hope for the best and hope to watch a great match, and may the better one win :)!

@PeterLPZ: Too bad you lost :( But Spain is a great team too. It will be better in the next matches ;)

lol, Serbia-Croatia 24:24
What a funny result and match was very equal, it could go both ways.
I'm a bit surprised we didn't lose:eek:

Congratulations Serbia! They are in to the next round and joining them will be likely Germany (unless they lose 5 goals to Tunis, which will not happen). Denmark seemed to had problems with the Algerian defense (and to think that both Macedonia and Poland stormed over Algeria two years ago with +13 and +15 respectively).
Spain easily won against Egypt with 31:18 and for that is a surprise, since I expected a very tight result.

Puh, Germany won against Tunisia and so they are qualified to the next round. In the first half Germany played nervous, but they were really strong in the 2nd half. So the victory was deservedly. But they must be more consistent if they wanna have a chance against Iceland, Norway and Hungary. Now they will start with 0-4 points. And the chances to reach the half-final are little.

Congrats to :hr: and :rs: for reaching the next round.

Wow man, this was possibly the best match by us in the group stage! What a thriller :D

Mikkel Hansen in particular had a great match and now we're on the the next stage with maximum points.

Expected a very tough match against Croatia (especially since our coach had predicted them winner of the competition beforehand) so it's absolutely amazing. And terrific support by our fans btw. :D
