Congratulations for the victory against South Korea :D

About France.... I still think you will play them in the finals, and who knows....maybe you win it all :p

Serbia defeated Austria with +12 goals. Very effective victory. But I am waiting for the real thing soon :D

I think the German team will only be an underdog this time. They have many young players and some players are injured.
The big favorit this time seems to be France. But who knows - in German newspapers they say, that France and Croatia could play the final.

Wow, it's a really big goal difference against Austria  Congrats Serbia :D

Once again, I'm not so sure about Croatia and France in the finals. I'm pretty sure one country could surprise us all and everyone is talking about Croatia vs. France final, so probably this won't happen  I hope I'm wrong about Croatia. But first we have to win against Denmark, Serbia and Romania, also good and strong teams. Same goes for France. They have really tough group. I think Spain or Germany can surprise them :p

I will cross my fingers for Croatia, I think, they have a really strong team. And who knows, perhaps Germany will surprise all. I hope the men will play better as the women, because they were kicked out after the first round. May the best win!

German team is quite good. I don't know who plays for the national team now, but you had a great team on the last world cup :D (we played against each other in the second round, and it was a tie in the end :p But then Poland raped us   )

Let´s see. I wish the Serbian team also good luck. The German team plays very different at the moment. During the last day, they won against Sweden and lost against Iceland. So I don´t know, what should I think about the performance.

I like handball too, but all I can cheer for are the Macedonian referees.

And btw, Sweden - Chile 28:18 (15:8). The Swedes weren't very convincing at the start.

Good luck to our countries today :D

I hope :rs: won't surprise me negatively, and I hope we beat Algeria tonight.

Croatia vs Romania 27-21 (Malmö)

The match didn' t start good for us, our game was so shaky, not convincing at all, Romanians even had an advantage in the end of the 1st halftime (11-13). But then our guys exploded and the game come back to the beaten track very quickly :) Balić was great as always:))))
Well done and good luck in the further competition:)!

A rather faulty start for some of the favourites. Croatia had troubles in the first half against Romania, but later on they comfortably won with 27:21. Serbia had a lot of troubles against Algeria and won only with a single goal, 25:24.
Also, Poland barely won 32:30 against Slovakia and a surprising tie: Korea - Argentina 25:25.
Denmark won 47:12 against Australia. Iceland 32:26 against Hungary, Norway 35:26 against Japan, Germany won 30:25 against Egypt.
Also Spain and France merged their first important victories and Austria won +10 against Brazil. :?

oh it seems Austria :at: is very bad at this Championship, right?
i'm not a fan of handball and i didn't watched it often in the past.. I heard yesterday that our team is playing in that championship. Our coach is swedish btw ^^
here in Austria they don't care much about handball (TV or newspaper)...

Yeah, not a great performance by the :rs: team, but a victory is victory :) We had a lot of troubles with the Algerian "deep defense", and were forcing the same tactics like before, and those didn't bring anything good. We must use wings more, and not rely on backs and on the keeper. Darko Stanic is the hero of the match, as expected. He is a real Chuck Norris

I expect better matches against stronger rivals.

Congrats to :hr: and :rs: for the first victory.
Germany played really good, only the defense should be more stable during the next matches. But 30-25 against Egypt was great.

Great first match for us and I'm happy so many Danes went to Malmø to support the players, even in a match against a less prominent team like Australia. It was almost like playing at home. :D

Most of our players commented that the tournament really begins after the match against Australia so hopefully we'll be able to play just as brilliant when we face some of of the big handball-nations like ourselves.

2nd round, for some even more convincing:

Hungary won expectedly over Norway with 26:23. In the same group Iceland won with 34:26 over Brazil. Japan made a surprise defeating Austria with 33:30. What a difference in game play for two days, for the Austrians.

In group D, Sweden slammed Slovakia with 38:22!!!  Wow, Sweden seems to be in a good position here. Poland barely won 24:23 over Argentina. Korea easily won 37:22 over Chile.

Of course you are the big favorite today against Australia. I´m sure the Serbian team will win.
Congrats for Icelands second victory. Also for Sweden. They are playing very strong.
Let´s see, what Germany will play today against Bahrain. It´s the only big underdog in Group A. So it would be a big disgrace if the will loose that match. So my fingers are crossed for :hr: , :rs: and :de:

^^ Thanks :) I'll be rooting for the German team too. You shouldn't have problems with Bahrain.
