Ok, if that's the case the fee should be enough. In other press releases things were put somewhat different... but I guess it's normal hear-say stories tend to change a bit from time to time.
So, on Thursday the group should be complete... and we can finally start voting in the Ranking Game again.
thank you for your understanding.
Sorry if you felt offended because of me cuz I know this situation very well (I have some insider's info too) and it hurts when people say about disqualification when iwe have such tense and hard situation here :(
I feel really sorry if I offended someone (though it wasn't my original intention, I didn't attack anyone personally and I'm not gonna do this  )

uhm, also I'm not sure if the song will be published today or tomorrow. I hope they will do it fast.

The official reason for changing another entry is not plagiarism. It's been juridically proven by American Copyright organization (that's where the song was registered) and by experts from the EBU's side.

Ok, I take it you're talking about the first song of Alyosha here? Then why had it to be changed? And why was that song of Vasyli (I hope I got the name right?) changed to begin with? I suppose that has been an internal descision of NTU?
It wasn't internal decision of NTU.
A lot of people were indignanted by their plans to send Lazarovich to Eurovision including most of famous singers, producers etc.
One thing is to send our star Ani Lorak this way. Another thing is to send Lazarovich (nobody didn't know this singer before) Any song, any performance, nothing. Everybody understood that he will present our country just because Lazarovich is friend of ex-president of NTU channel. So new president of NTU made one true decision: to recover justice So there are the one singer which should present our country - ALYOSHA

Aleks, I know you support her and stuff, but you put just too much trust in what she and her company say without even questioning anything. No one that writes or composes stuff would chose to not register their name on the products and give full credit to someone else.. I mean do you really believe she writes and composes? I mean c'mon it's pretty obvious this is just said to make her look good.

Anyhow, I really hope all this and especially SHE is worth all this in the end. If the song will sound anything like her "winning" entry, then I see no chances for Ukraine this year unfortunately. I hope for "3rd time lucky" though and that the song will turn out good unlike the two first entries.

I think we will get it tomorrow.

I'm actually curious now, although I don't think the process went right and she's not worthy, but hopefully the song will be good enough. But so far what has been said is that it will be similar to "To Be Free" and if it is, then it just can't be any good really.

Well I guess we will find out tomorrow...

Esc-vision.net
Ukraine entry has been disqualified from the Eurovosion song contest, which is held in Oslo.
There was too much controvery regarding the Ukraine entry which was hit with plagiarism and breaking several EBU rules.
click for more info

OH MY GOD! I CANT BELIEVE IT! Nooooooooooooooooo

OH MY GOD! I CANT BELIEVE IT! Nooooooooooooooooo

Someone already tried that

Ukraine is still in and actually there doesn't even exist a page called "esc-vision.net"

nice try though ;)

If Azerbaijan is in after the severe violations last year, there would be no logic at all to disqualify Ukraine for sure.

NO. I still hope for a beautiful ballad. This song should be similar to "To be free" which we chose.

Do you think it's wise to choose a soppy ballad when practically all singers chose ballads, if we choose an uptempo song, we can place really very high. :D

I hope not, a ballad in the years of ballads!? Not very wise...

And btw, if it's similar to "To be free", I guess it would be the first time for Ukraine not to qualify to the final and this is my true honest opinion and has only to do with that song and not the singer or the selecting process what so ever.

So far it sounds like it could be a little similar to Russia 2005.

I even can't imagine her with something uptempo :? taking into account her style reminding to me Avril Lavigne's. This song could be more dynamic but not too uptempo. She has a strong voice and have to show it.

Sweet People

Oh, sweet people
What have we done?
Tell me what is happening?
For all that we've built
Tumbles and is gone

Oh, sweet people
Have you no love for mankind?
Must you go on killing
Just to pass the time.

The message is so true
The end is really near
All these feelings take me down
It steals the things so dear
Yes, the message is so real.
Don't turn all the earth to stone
Because, because, because
This is your home

Oh, sweet people
what about our children?
In theaters and video games
They watch what we send to ruin

Oh, sweet people
What senseless game
Have we all been playing?
No one but you to blame?

The message is so true
The end is really near
All these feelings take me down
It steals the things so dear
Yes, the message is so real.
Don't turn all the earth to stone
Because, because, because
This is your home

This is our home.

Re: ??????? - Ukraine 2010 - ALyosha - Sweet people

Kyiv, Ukraine - Moments ago, the last entry for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest has reached the European Broadcasting Union. Ukraine will be represented by Alyosha with the song Sweet People. Once officially cleared by the EBU, this would complete the participants list for the 55th running of Europe's favourite TV-show.

This year's Ukrainian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest will undoubtly go down in the history books as complicated. Initially, Ukraine would be represented by Vasyl Lazarovych at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. Just two days before the European Broadcasting Union's official deadline to enter songs for the competition, a new national final was held, and was won by Alyosha with the song To Be Free. Less than 24 hours before the EBU's official deadline to enter songs, it was discovered that this song did not meet the rules of the contest, since it already appeared on an album in 2008.

Ukrainian public broadcaster NTU then informed the EBU that they were unable to deliver a complete entry. As this was in breach of the rules of the competition, the Reference Group of the Eurovision Song Contest decided to impose a regulatory fine, and an additional fine for every next day after the deadline that no entry has been received by the EBU. READ MORE..

The newly submitted Ukrainian entry is Sweet People. In the days to follow, the EBU will evaluate whether this new song meets the rules of the contest, just as it did with the other 38 entries for Oslo, and will make the video of the song available through youtube.com/eurovision.
