NemesisNick,
thank you for explaining, although i know the rules already.
I will leave points from 1971-1973 as they are.
As for the system 57-61 & 67-70, the best solution was to give 12-10-8 points, and because of the ties, i had to give more than one 12 or 10 or 8 points.
The system for 62-66 is very easy to convert.

Italy being high even with their 14-year break... imagine if they never withdrew and got constant top 10s.

I could be wrong but I think Azerbaijan ended outside the top 10 in the semi-final televote in 2014 :D which Sweden did not in 2010.
And don't try to give Azerbaijan all this '' 1122 points '' credit when all of the songs that ended up in the top 5 are Swedish! So ha!

:se: :se: :se:

Really?
Also in 2013..the composer of ''Hold me'' was greek(Dimitrios Kontopoulos) and the stage performance was directed by the greek (Fokas Evangelinos) :D

I dont think we will be overtaken this year by Sweden (there would have to be a combination of a Swedish win or a very strong runner-up/third AND a British mega-fail - statistically that combination is not impossible but will be less likely than likely), but if we fail to get 100 points or over this year then our position from 2016 onwards could be dodgy.

The difference between Sweden and UK were 178 points in ESC 2014.

The difference between them in the list above is only 81 points.

If UK fail bad Sweden don't need to win or be top 3. Top 5 would be enough or even a place under that.

IMO, it's very possible that Sweden will take the top spot this year. Only a 2013 performance from Sweden will save UK from losing their top spot.

If you look at the latest years results then you will see it's more likely than not that Sweden will do very well and UK will be at the bottom of the table.

Sounds like you are trying to keep your dream alive. If not this year then Sweden will take the top spot very soon.

You do make a valid point, and if they continue on with how they have lately then they will take over. You cannot possibly say the UK will be at the bottom of the table. 2015 is the first year they are taking it 100% serious, 2014 was kind off a pilot test. The attitude to eurovision from the BBC is a complete turn around compared to a couple of years ago. Yes it was disappointing for the UK Molly flopped but 17th place with 40 points is still better than what we have done recently.

In Eurovision we start on ZERO, not last years result. Last years result counts for nothing, it's not an election.

We already have an 80-point advantage as you say, and as the current leaders, every point we get this year will add to that difference - the question is whether or not you will get enough points to make up that difference AND get ahead of us. My betting is you wont do that this year, but as I said it's not an impossibility?

I sound like Im trying to keep the dream alive? No dear, you sound desperate to become No. 1. I dont particularly care for the numbers, because Britain & Ireland will still remain the most successful Eurovision nations regardless of whether Sweden tops this list, you have simply had the advantage of having most of your success in the years when there's been like 40-50 voting nations.

The real gap between UK and Sweden is much bigger than this...
Stay tuned.

I'm intrigued to see your table which is less biased. Is it almost done? xheat

Look my friend,
as another British said before,
the curent voting system (12-10-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1) has started from 1975 and on.
Before this (1956-1974) there were several ways of voting,
so i had to make the conversion of those votes.
The only thing i can reveal tonight,
is that UK will be at the top of the scoreboard of Eurovision for many years.

So now we are discredit the modern results?? For me it's way more impressive to be good among than 40 countries than 10 countries.

It's actually sad that UK people and Gre to try put down Sweden's (and other successful countries in modern time).

I can never tell if you are an internet troll or just speak a load of sh*t. The way you carry on about Sweden is as if it's a cut above the rest.

Or. You better next time? What about stop to be so jealous on Sweden's and other countries success in modern esc??

Jealous? Eurovision is Eurovision. We still have the much bigger and more successful music industry.

Please do not quarrel about such a scoreboard. And you're all wrong about your forecasts. I predict San Marino will take the lead in about 500 years or more. Mark my words.
