I agree that it is a massive step, but backwards. And I thought this was Eurovision SONG Contest.

I am pretty sure that even if Conchita sang "Moustache" (I took that example because :fr: ended last), (s)he would have still won the whole thing. Just like I am sure that this song will be forgotten in a week at most.

Not to mention her tears and other fake emotions that were just a part of her marketing and propaganda that lasted from September 2013.

I am pretty sure that with the juries this would have never happened. Yes she was too dramatic sometimes, but then she won ESC/qualified. Ofc she will be happy and she will cry... I have to remember you that she represents :at:. Not the most succesfull country the last decades

I don't like the entry, I'm not happy that it won but some people make me sick. What is funny in faking pictures so that women have beard? I can't imagine how Conchita feels right now, I can only feel pity for her.

Trust me, Conchita is on cloud nine right now. Performing makes a performer feel alive and getting acknowledgment for your efforts is something no one can take away from you. No matter how mean they are. ;)

Sean I really liked you..but you disappoint me now..i wanted to tell you few times how mature you are for your age, but now with these reactions..hmm. :? a let down.. :(

You can't react like this to ppl who think this is a let down and step backward for ESC, and discuss here with opinion different to yours..it's not nice and fair at all from you Sean!

Well I'm sorry but it annoys me when people see this as anything other than a step forward. If you didn't like the song then fair enough... but it was performed amazingly and this is a huge leap for LGBT rights which I am hugely in favour of. People should lighten up and see the bigger picture

This won't help anything LGBT, I'm sure!

It will even be worse in some parts, to presnt to somebody smth like this is off putting ad will make even mroe difference..

But all right.

And performance was nth special..as i said person standing on the stage..million times seen..vocals poor..

T think that ESC winning has some big impact on he world or anything is silly and abysmal..

That can think only a hardcore ESC fan..

So many people are talking about Conchita and supporting her after the final, I think this is a big step even if it's not going to start revolutions in the East

Marko dear,

I think it's a big step as well. Especially for the East. They are a bit silent on these issues. Former winners have been straight winners. A gay winner once in a while is ok too don't you think? It does not make this contest gaycentric at all. I understand if you or other people don't like this entry, but to me honestly it is not a step backwards. Not at all :)

I respect your opinion though!

It's about uniting the cultures and people of Europe. Make of that what you will but I think it's a good way to settle differences :)

I thought that after one MUSIC festival ends ppl should discuss vocal skils, voice colors, intonations..and where is thaat? Where is tahat lost in ESC?

Nobody cares for that?! :( :?

Why is jury introduced at all? :?

This is a huge let down..

Everybody speak about one person for what? :?

I saw more LGBT flags in Arena yesterday than countries' flags..where is an old ESC spirit gone? xcry

ESC turned int LGBT festival and not MUSIC festival where countries are fighting who has a better composition?

:(

Who told it's a bad if winner is gay, but bad is fact to win just because of that in a MUSIC festival!

She also fucking owned it in terms of performance which is why she won.

No just you guys are saying that this has become a pride festival or somth like that. Can't we just accept that people actually liked the whole thing altogether? And of course not denying that an equal amount hated it

Well when I put all the aspects of performance on the table, I see clearly that is not the case..but OK.. ;)

Her vocals were perfect. It's one thing to hate the song, but you simply can't deny she owned it vocally and performance-wise as well.

I have a musical education, do yo have some? :)

This "singer" couldn't pull this at all, it was shameful..

Once I would have thought like you and said roughly the same things. I was however faced with the live performance and I have to say that a genuinely emotional and spectacular performance like this can never be a step backwards or somethig we've seen a million times before. On the contrary, it will always be something fresh and a step forward in every possible direction.

LGBT will live, as it's always done. No harm done, no benefits either, that's just rubbish talk.

I watched ESC with a professor of solo singing in a high school.. ;) But if you say so.. :)
