Re: YAPONESIA: Your Sound ~ NSC 129 NF

So Comino is our final voter, thanks to a last-minute drop-in from spiluke xcheer1

spiluke said:
Hi, first of all congrats for the 2nd place :D :mrgreen:

Here are Comino's votes:

All Mongols - 67%
Makhno Project - 15%
Kerkut & Aisha - 62%

Sorry for the lateness, I am incredibly busy these days.

Thanks Luke, great to see you again xlove
Unfortunately, we didn't get a voting system, but happily, another Luke was on the line to provide us a system at random in the skypeconvo!

Luke said:
[15/11/2015 21:37:26] Luke: IF #1 = -12
IF #2 = -10
IF #3 = -08
IF #4 = -07

A reverse system; controversial :eek:
In other news, Max Barskih's most recent NSC 127 showing for SR Indiria is our final representation from any of these three countries!
Here's how it all played out:

Next up: Some fiiiinal readjustments, and the winner announcement

NSC 129

Berkut & Aisha
МЕКЕНІМ ҚАЗАҚСТАН

Live performance of 'Mekenim Kazakhstan'.

Berkut & Aisha - Mekenim Kazakhstan (My Location Kazakhstan)
The successful revival of our Yaponesian National Final has brought us this Kazakh duo for NSC 129. Berkut (Бүркіт) and Aisha (Аиша) are a duet who sing songs of an ethnic or patriotic Kazakh nature. And you can't get much more patriotic than 'Mekenim Kazakhstan', a song for the Kazakh people, singing the praises of the beautiful blue lakes and mountains of their native land, and featuring all kinds of happy Kazakhs at their very cheesiest.

So, I hope you'll enjoy this slice of feel-good in the final. In the meantime, I'm happy to announce that our NF, Your Sound 130 will be back again next edition!! :mrgreen: Three songs again, with next time's theme: :jp: and xrockout (two Yapo mainstays, though it's been a while :p) Until then, enjoy the final! xcheer

Еліміз, жұлдызы жанған
Жеріміз, тәуелсіз арман
Ерміз, жаралған ардан-оу

NSC 130 National Final

For our potential entry into the NSC 130 semifinals in Hypjø, we bring to you three different faces of Japanese rock, young and old; a selection of songs we've been considering even before NSC (if that even makes sense) to random chance stumblings around youtube last week! One thing's for sure though, this NF is a solid return to a classic Yaponesian style!

Just like last edition, we will need your scores, and your voting system to turn them all into points!

:jp: 01 ::yap

Flow - GO!!!

:jp: 02 ::yap

Yeti - IE

:jp: 03 ::yap

Malice Mizer - SAIKAI NO CHI TO BARA

YOUR VOTING
  1. PM me [MENTION=4372]takeru[/MENTION] a score (/100) for each song, with ties broken.
  2. Post your voting system in this thread
  3. If you're confused at all, read more detailed rules from last edition here, or just ask me ^^
  4. I might open a poll again, if your voting system would like to use it.
  5. I will reproportion all systems automatically this time, unless you specifically request it not to be
DEADLINE: Around the confirmation DDL, TBC

Re: YAPONESIA: Your Sound ~ NSC 130 NF

my system...

denote p the score of the song. then that song receives (p*d) / (4-r) points, where d is the length of the youtube video of the song in seconds and r the running order of the song.

Re: YAPONESIA: Your Sound ~ NSC 130 NF

You'd better read my system before you vote ;)

Let p denote the score given to the song. The number of points it receives is given by (10/9)p*sin(pπ/2)cos(pπ/10)

(feel free to just use the nearest integer value if this gets too messy)

Re: YAPONESIA: Your Sound ~ NSC 130 NF

(v/d)*(y/n) + L(130-e) + 50j + p^w

Where:
v = number of youtube views
d = number of days since the video was uploaded to youtube
y = number of likes the video has
n = number of dislikes the video has
L = video length in minutes (04:30 = 4.5, etc)
e = Edition the voting nation debuted in (if WLer, then e=130)
j = Number of Japanese artists the voting nation has sent
p = Score given by voting nation
w = number of times the voting nation has won NSC.

wp = total number of points given to the winners of nsc by the voter in the last 10 editions

Re: YAPONESIA: Your Sound ~ NSC 130 NF

Sooo deadline is today folks :eek: I'll give you untiiill 22CET so I have time to count up the votes, then we'll have results after the deadline at midnight xcheer

Huge thanks to the following for votes: xcheer1
::beg ::rld ::doi ::pap ::yap

And huge thanks to the following for systems: xcheer1
::beg ::hal ::doi ::pap ::zom

Hmm, bit of a mismatch there :p So a reminder for those of you who have half-voted; you have til 22CET! xcheer [MENTION=4386]anselm[/MENTION] [MENTION=4369]berlyda[/MENTION] [MENTION=4464]SpZ[/MENTION] [MENTION=4630]dogmeat[/MENTION]

Oh, and a Yaponesian system to bear in mind:
Well, looking at all the complicated maths and research I have to do for the above, let's have something simpler
  • Grant a reproportioned high score (provisionally 2000) to the highest ranked
    [*]Grant a reproportioned low score (provisionally -2000) to the lowest ranked
    [*]The middle gets 0

Also just to remind that all systems will be reproportioned appropriately (it's for your benefit, not sneakiness, don't worry)

THANKS SO MUCH TO ALL PARTICIPANTS SO FAR xlove
You have 5 hours left; お願いします!:jp:

Re: YAPONESIA: Your Sound ~ NSC 130 NF

Ask 3 random people on Skype for a number from 1-30. You'll get n1, n2 and n3 that way (number 1-3).

Song 1: Score*n1
Song 2: Score*n2
Song 3: Score*n3

Additionally, add 1273 points to the song with the highest score and subtract 127.3 points from the song with the lowest score. The song in the middle remains the same. Use means if some voter has ties in their scores, e.g. Orian gave 80 points to both his #1 and #2 - add 636,5 points to both)

Re: YAPONESIA: Your Sound ~ NSC 130 NF

Check if a country voted for Yaponesia last edition.
If they did, every score equal or higher than the score given to Mekenim Kazakhstan by that country in the previous NF is doubled.
If they didn't, every score equal or lower than the score given to Mekenim Kazakhstan by that country in the previous NF is nullified.
If they didn't vote in Yaponesian NF last edition, nothing happens to their scores.

y = -150 + ( (x/(1 / ln x)) * (log x) * (maxsystemscore/921) )

for x>=95, y = ( (x/(1 / ln x)) * (log x) * (maxsystemscore/921) )
for x<1 y = -150 * (maxsystemscore/921)

Code:
Approximate scores:

__0 = -150 * multiplier
_10 = -127 * multiplier
_20 = -072 * multiplier
_30 = ___1 * multiplier
_40 = __86 * multiplier
_50 = _182 * multiplier

Re: YAPONESIA: Your Sound ~ NSC 130 NF

Okeeeej, some quick results now so you can see how this unfolded for yourself!

First of all, everybody's raw scores.
These are the scores you PMed me, but didn't actually get counted on their own in any systems.

But, for your information and reference:

EhM854A.png

So Yeti is our provisional winner with these scores, but as we all know, they don't actually count (hence the italics) :eek:
The points with your systems are coming next, be prepared!

Re: YAPONESIA: Your Sound ~ NSC 130 NF

So now let's add your systems!
This was.... fun to count up, and well, you can see the results for yourself.

Kkzq9Wi.png

Dat raaaaange :lol:
I guess I shoulda seen the 10-digit Zombiran numbers coming with all that multiplication...
But yeah, the majority of the scores don't even fit in the boxes :lol:

But well, this was tight, as you can see...

...Do we think it's all over?

...Of course not! Thank god I introduced the reproportion rule otherwise all that even matters in this NF are the ::wsn and ::zom systems :lol:

Let's see if it changes anything in this two-horse race...
