I cant see it doing well with juries tbh. It wouldn't surprise me if they are on the right hand side after juries have voted. The si g isn't good enough and doesn't even help their strength which us their amazing vocals.

Also this doesn't look good

What the hell just happened? Well the UK are taking a risk.

Less country than I was expecting from :uk: Remember Monday based on initial rumors. I guess they are going for all in on the musical theater angle meets Chappel Roan aiming to win the jury vote. Probably the right decision for this year.

Just for my own taste I was hoping they go in a different direction but if they can pull it off live this should do better than the last pair of flops. Bemused by people saying BBC have given up just because they aren't sending another dime a dozen dispenser pop song. Music video is messy but fun. Not that it makes a difference when we get to May.

The 3 ladies harmonies and staging will decide if this sinks or swims but I can see it surprising. Not exactly a high bar but best UK entry since 2014.

I'm so sorry UK, but I just got a foreboding feeling of 0 televote points for you. I was looking at the list of songs we have so far and unless the staging is absolutely amazeballs I can't see it doing well. There is a narrow pathway, but it hinges on staging.
Oh I wish they had been given a proper country song... we don't have that this year and there is always audience for country. Lost opportunity there.

The EurovisionScoreboardApp users are really underrating UK tbh. But I see people in this thread counting on jury votes..oof. Not looking good indeed.

I'm feeling that too... i think it will have a similar final placement to Olly. Low televotes (not zero but close) and low-mid jury vote.

The enthusiasm just isn't out there for this song..I doubt the stage performance will shock us.

I must admit, the promotion (here in the UK anyway) has been great so far. They were on Good Morning Britain singing with Anastacia today! Sounded incredible

Question for you as a Brit: Does the song get any airplay in the UK?? Did you hear it on BBC Radio 1/2 or any other radio station??

I don't listen to the radio much at all, but I've read that it's been played on Radio 1 and 2

I think the fact this dropped off so quickly from Trending on Youtube in the UK and how few posts there have been in this thread since the song was announced are indicators that there might not be a whole lot of momentum behind this one.

To be fair, this could change as we get closer to the event as more people are exposed to it and it gets pushed more on social media. But like with last year there seems like there is no real momentum or interest in this one. Last year was kind understandable given how early they announced the act verses the song. But with this one it has dropped off quicker than any other UK song I've seen since I've been following the contest as closely as I am now.

It’s definitely been played on Radio 1 and 2 and I think Capital

Ok. But do you have a feeling that a lot of people know the song or care about it??
I’m not sure about that; but we have to remember that Sam Ryder had a similar reception initially as well. Although the song has already charted in the top 100 since its release which is practically unheard of for a UK Eurovision entry prior to the contest

Tbh I think Mae Mullers initial chart success etc was mostly down to the fact we were hosting and everything Eurovision was rammed down our throats for a solid month or 2 straight. It was great to see.

I had expected a country type song in the vein of The Common Linnets. Instead they've gone for a very West End, musical theatre number. I feel this may have been the wrong decision.

Lol Sam ryder and bigger buzz than this. Like remember the big artist talking about how good the song was. Even abba came out and said it was a really good song. You ignoring the buzz doesn't mean it didn't have any it did. He was a favourite from the start. Wasn't amazing on esc scoreboard but was higher than all the recent entries. RM are doing really badly on esc scoreboard. Well below all the other AQ. Unless it's going to be a common linnets type situation UK has a chance of getting 0 points in televote. Which the artists doing deserve but the song does

I still don't understand the hate towards the girls. They're bringing something fresh, unusual for Eurovision and theatrical which, if well sung and harmonized, could captivate the juries and even some televoting, yet still it's classified as bad...

Sam was a bookies' favourite the minute his name was rumoured and his odds just kept getting better. He had an uphill battle from 2021 but Scott Mills was his daily cheerleader. Eurofans were just doing their usual thing, hating on straight male performers unless they're singing a basic dance-pop song. He was constantly being talked about and Spanish fans saw him as a threat. We need the pre-parties to begin.

Typically most bookmakers on Oddschecker etc are UK based so it’s not really a clear indicator of how well the UK act will or wont do tbh. I distinctly remember people criticising Space Man as they do with every other UK entry.

Eurofans criticise every entry that isn’t a basic pop song especially when it’s performed by a non-offensive straight guy. The reception outside the fandom was positive.
