I dont like when women swear though. Britain talk about Maltas Kant but they themselves sing what the hell happened.
As far as I know, it's a Dane who wrote the lyrics, and the Danes swear a f### lot.

The song is not my cup of tea. The louder guitar part early in the song boosted my hopes for enjoying the song but then it has receded and I'm just being served a British girl band filler song from 2010 or something. And I don't enjoy the chorus unfortunately.

I rather like this song. It's unpretentious and doesn't try to be something it's not.
And in the middle of all the rest this year, who knows, it might get some love.

No, you're not. I think it's the best entry from UK so far. But I'm used to have unpopular opinions.
I also like the very much underrated "Moustache" from France.
It's not fabulous, but for me it is the best entry since many many years! And I don't understand all the negativity not only here, but in other ESC-forums as well. Among the loud or funny entries it stands out, so I hope it will surprise in May!

That´s not necessarily a positive thing. ;)

Oh well, thats what I call annoying. Sounds like a DMGP entrance indeed. Welcome back to your flop era, UK. It was fun while it lasted. :/

Why? To me it is actually, When so many entries belongs to a similiar genre, then a different sounding song can stand out. I of course don't know how the three will sound live though. But I am saying this based on the studio version. :) But that is me saying this who thought that LOTL won't come last, so ...

Based on the studio version we also liked "Melodies of Hope", we know how that ended. :ROFLMAO:

I'm also asking myself the following: What the hell did I just watch?? And why do the Brits think they can be successful with it?? 😵‍💫

I hate absolutely everything here! Three unlikeable upper class ladies hop around like frightened chickens as if they still have alcohol or other substances in them, singing a old fashioned musical song that sounds like it has been cobbled together from a thousand individual parts and can't decide whether it wants to be fast or slow. This is garnished with an annoying chorus and, although harmonious, overall rather unpleasant polyphonic singing parts. 😩

No, this is an audiovisual car crash. The :uk: only narrowly missed another :0: from me, as I didn't have to stop it I give a generous :1: instead. Maybe it could get a few jury points, but I have really no idea who should pick up their phones for it, so the country is a hot contender for last place in my opinion. It´s getting increasingly more obvious that Sam Ryder (still don´t like "Space Man" at all) was their "Schulte moment" in 2022. :(

Wow, I thought this song was too inoffensive to garner much negativity or harsh comments... well

It's cute IMO. Nothing too special, but fun enough, and I do enjoy their harmonies. It is pretty Musical-like, but that means it can come with a good stage Show (and IMO the stagings were really good from the UK in the last years). And it seems they can in fact sing live. So it's a :6: from me for now with clear potential to get Upgraded after the live Performance.

And honestly, I think the juries could quite like it? Not a Jury winner, but potential Jury top 10 with a good Show, especially given the nature of most entries this year. So, I do not think this is coming last at least =D

Rant!

Songfestivalfest was on the bbc last night. It showed me the problem the UK have been having. The UK songs just don't have longevity. Outside of sam Ryder who would actually be asked to go to songfestival from the recent UK acts. They are just forgettable.
Give us a song/moment that we will actually remember in a few years.

The UK have the facilities to give us a moment annually and they don't. It annoys me when I hear Graham Nawton fawning over how amazing Sweden are in eurovision like its level that is just non achievable for the UK when it isn't.

Since 2003 the BBC have decided they really don't care about eurovision. They see it as "too much work" to do well. You will get the odd 2009,2011 and 2021 of them actually trying to win but they will never have an era as its just too much work for them.

Prior to 2003 BBC always wanted to win which is why they have so many top 3 placement before then and all that passion lest once they got nil pui and the competition expanded and it became a bit harder to do. But it's not impossible for them. Which we all know but they just can't be bothered so I no longer bother care about them.

Also. When you are internally selecting a song in a country with a big enough music industry. Act should be "too good' for a national final. The writers too. Neither IMHO are. Eg France, Netherlands even Austria

Last year UK didn't do well however the artist was pretty big and the songwriter was also big.

If you are just gonna have non British songwriting camp songs and artist who don't have a record label or have never had a hit. then just do a NF.

Personally I have always felt that the reason things went off the rails as much as they did post 2003 was due to how much the BBC over-hyped the entry; they legit thought that they were going to be a global sensation, bigger than Britney Spears (No, really!) and they had hit solid gold. They hyped them up to hell and back to an extent never seen before or since, gave them their own Eurovision review show (where one of them said the Turkish entry dressed like a prostitue or words to that effect) and pushed the hell out of that song and them.

Then it failed, and the professional embarrassment was such that they couldn't accept they got it wrong and pissed the public's money up the wall on an act that didn't even have its original line-up come the contest so blamed it on politics, an idea carried by that twerp Wogan till he tied his career to the successes of Abrahams (but not before saying on his show that he couldn't possibly win because he was black).

I do feel that in the few years we have seen a shift and that the BBC does want to win, they just don't know how to win, or how to find the act to do it. And that there are too many people in the process and wider industry that would treat any selection show like an X Factor-lite to make something worth while.

Who is the person och persons at the BBC that has the power over Britains Eurovision song? You dont only need competence at the writing those who invite and decide needs to be proffessional to.

I like it. Nice harmonies and the rhythm changes keep me interested for the whole 3 minutes. The music video isn't to my liking, it's like those American frat house teen movies. :10:

For my taste, there is too much pace-change in this song. And I don't really get why these changes are here. I mean, every single part could make a great song if developed, but the mix just leaves me clueless behind.... :6: for the moment.
