I'm feeling that too... i think it will have a similar final placement to Olly. Low televotes (not zero but close) and low-mid jury vote.I'm so sorry UK, but I just got a foreboding feeling of 0 televote points for you. I was looking at the list of songs we have so far and unless the staging is absolutely amazeballs I can't see it doing well. There is a narrow pathway, but it hinges on staging.
Oh I wish they had been given a proper country song... we don't have that this year and there is always audience for country. Lost opportunity there.

The enthusiasm just isn't out there for this song..I doubt the stage performance will shock us.
I don't know...I don't listen to UK radio. I just don't see any enthusiasm for it in the fandom and I'm doubtful whether the casuals will go for it eitherDoes this song get any airplay??
I must admit, the promotion (here in the UK anyway) has been great so far. They were on Good Morning Britain singing with Anastacia today! Sounded incredible
Question for you as a Brit: Does the song get any airplay in the UK?? Did you hear it on BBC Radio 1/2 or any other radio station??

I’m not sure about that; but we have to remember that Sam Ryder had a similar reception initially as well. Although the song has already charted in the top 100 since its release which is practically unheard of for a UK Eurovision entry prior to the contestOk. But do you have a feeling that a lot of people know the song or care about it??
I had expected a country type song in the vein of The Common Linnets. Instead they've gone for a very West End, musical theatre number. I feel this may have been the wrong decision.I think the fact this dropped off so quickly from Trending on Youtube in the UK and how few posts there have been in this thread since the song was announced are indicators that there might not be a whole lot of momentum behind this one.
To be fair, this could change as we get closer to the event as more people are exposed to it and it gets pushed more on social media. But like with last year there seems like there is no real momentum or interest in this one. Last year was kind understandable given how early they announced the act verses the song. But with this one it has dropped off quicker than any other UK song I've seen since I've been following the contest as closely as I am now.

Typically most bookmakers on Oddschecker etc are UK based so it’s not really a clear indicator of how well the UK act will or wont do tbh. I distinctly remember people criticising Space Man as they do with every other UK entry.Sam was a bookies' favourite the minute his name was rumoured and his odds just kept getting better. He had an uphill battle from 2021 but Scott Mills was his daily cheerleader. Eurofans were just doing their usual thing, hating on straight male performers unless they're singing something basic pop song.
Eurofans criticise every entry that isn’t a basic pop song especially when it’s performed by a non-offensive straight guy. The reception outside the fandom was positive.Typically most bookmakers on Oddschecker etc are UK based so it’s not really a clear indicator of how well the UK act will or wont do tbh.
