I'm seriously confused by what i've read tbh. :? Matt and Sean pretty much said it was just ok and nothing special. Wiwi thought it was one of the best stagings again and if the song wasn't so weak it could fight to the left side. I read different things all over. So which is it? I happen to really like our staging, I think it looks quite good tbh.

The Wiwi guy William Lee is usually more accurate and objective in his predictions and reviews. OK he can be a bit annoying and I might not agree with him sometimes, but I rely on his reviews, while Sean and Matt...well, I appreciate they run this forum, that's it.

He thought that Ireland would qualify last year
William is generally more accurate than Deban though. Whenever Deban judges entries, it feels like he's in another universe. It's like he worships obvious NQs

xshifty I kind of have to agree. I'm not a huge Wiwi fan but their reviews of the songs are very quite detailed and insightful, even more so when they disagree with one another like in Germany. It's not just quick comments.

Well I said usually...not always. I don't remember his opinion about Ireland, but I remember he was shocked about Finland being out. In any case, he doesn't have a crystal ball, but his opinions are usually objective, even songs he likes he admits they could struggle. I agree about Deban  when I like what Deban likes I know I might expect a NQ

We try to be as fair and objective as possible and also go into detail so I'm a bit confused by your comment xthink

SuRie's vocal delivery is starting to annoy me more and more with every live performance. She has a way of shaping words that makes it sound like she has her lips pressed up against a window and her tongue is restricted (really weird description I know, but that's the closest I can get to properly describing it).

I've always enjoyed the song, it's cheery and has a pleasant melody but until I can see the full performance with camera angles and flow, I can't get behind this as much as Lucie last year. She was my top 5 after all performances last year - utterly captivating, and I think SuRie will struggle to reach the same level of impact. Willing to be proved wrong though ;)

Wow Surie is bringing such positive vibes to the stage! I always kinda enjoy this when I hear it!

To be honest I'd really wish for a better song though - I fear it's to middle of the road to do well in the end :(

Yeah, middle-of-the-road isn't exactly the recipe for success at Eurovision. I still find Storm very similar to last year's Perfect Life: it's a competent, well-performed, pleasant and difficult to-hate-midtempo song by a Big 5 country that's trying to get back on its feet results-wise. But it's just not the sort of thing that motivates anyone to vote for it over the 25 other songs on offer.

To be fair, I do think that Storm is a slightly stronger song than Perfect Life, and that Surie is more charismatic than Levina... but it's not by much on each count, and I'm not sure it'll be enough for the UK to escape the bottom 5.

That actually sounds and looks pretty decent to me. Very feel-good, I'm sure it will come alive even more with the audience.

I think because SuRie's song is upbeat it won't harm her chances being in the first half.

I'm thinking back to EV in first half and Englebert opening now and how well that went for us. xrollinglol

Yeah that was disappointing with Englebert, opening the contest with that song was the worst thing that could happen for him. But looking back his vocals were quite shaky in the performance too.
