AHAHA I just saw this on her Instastory. She has a great sense of humour. She will be a lot of fun this year I bet.

The revamp seems to have leaked through iTunes (or, at least, a snippet has):

Undecided right now... I can't really say whether it sounds better or worse than the original. Not quite what I was hoping for given how much she was hyping the new version though.

Oh, this is even worse than the original version  Just sounds messy now with all the soundeffects.

Gosh, super-revamp for Lucie and this is a total devamp by the sounds of it. It's lost something by the sounds of it. I hoped for more.

Yep, pretty much what I expected. With Lucie last year they actually had a base to work of off and managed to make the song (imo) significantly better. This year, there really wasn't much they could do to improve the song without completely changing the fundamentals. I'm still disappointed at how much of a step backwards this is for us, especially because I don't think 'Storm' has anywhere near the staging potential that 'NGUOY' had :(

The revamp is a a total non-event and Storm still has bottom 5 stamped all over it.

*listens to revamp*

The fact they've trashed it up actually amuses me. Those little bleeps in the chorus and the weird disruptions to the groove. God knows what they were trying to achieve but I can almost see myself ironically getting on board. It's so bad that it's coming dangerously close to being a hot mess now. This could be Josh Dubovie levels of bedazzling.

Ok, so I just heard the new version and basically it sounds like they sucked the life out of the song :( 2 bad revamps in one day, I can't handle

There's nothing majorly changed in the song, fans are definitely overreacting, it's not like they would've ever liked the song anyway, so.

The revamp is an improvement, but it's not a great improvement like Lucie's last year. I have a feeling that on the night the live performance still won't be much different to the E:YD one. But still, don't wanna put a downer on things so I'm glad it is a move in the right direction

I think with both the spanish and now the british "leaks" on the revamps has had very bad quality from what I heard, with no visual effect in form of a video, and both (especially in the spanish) threads are having a total meltdown, I think we must take a breather and wait before judging it fully. Both songs sounds for me pretty much the same, so I don't see the upsets really, sure some changes, but people will always think the 2nd version is worse...at least 9 times out of ten....

I've just listened to the new version in full, though it was in potato sound quality. I declare this re..... whatever it is they've done to the song a small success. The song before was so bland and nondescript. I seriously had it down as one of the very worst songs of the year. Almost offensively beige. It does in parts sound like a child has had at it with FruityLoops now, but you know what? That's added some much needed flavour and personality that was sorely missing before. And the song is growing on me too. I can just imagine "Storm" playing during some wonderful segment on the Lorraine Kelly show, or perhaps the theme to the latest Weight Watchers commercial. It's very daytime tv. Loose Women at 12:30, you know? That kind of feel. It's becoming harmless to me now which is a good thing as I don't want to hate the song. I like SuRie. I always believed she deserved a better song than this. She wasn't the problem. I'm glad these changes happened. Oh and I love that single artwork. Looks so pretty with those pastel colours.

I'm hoping for a Lucie situation again though with the staging, as I still think the song is destined for the bottom. It's not Levina levels of bad anymore but that flop is still waiting for us, with good staging perhaps being our only hope to save some face. I'll upgrade my 2 points to 5. I still think we made a terrible mistake but happy to say I don't hate the song anymore. It's become too campy for me to hold a grudge now. I didn't think i'd do a turn around on this in the slightest bit, so this is a positive development.

I think it’s an improvement... the production accepts the song’s Avicii vibe with a nod to the tropical house influence that has been the signature of a lot of chart pop for the past few years, and I also find her vocals much clearer. But I still think the song is a bit safe and dated, and continue to find the lyrics almost distractingly cheesy. However, I’m loving SuRie’s personality and she sure can sing... In a year that hasn’t delivered much, a great performance could still surprise, perhaps the UK is peeking into the top 15.

Now listening to the full version of the revamp...well it isn't that much of a change. I can see what they are trying to do, I think they are trying to work on SuRies Annie Lennox similarities and make the song not too unlike her song "Walking On Broken Glass". Not that it is plagiarism, far from it, but I think they want to get extra votes from Annie and Eurythmics fans by giving an inch of her greatness...with me being a huge fan, I can't see I would vote for UK anyhow.

The new version is worse actually! No fans of Eurythmics gonna vote for this! I fear that it won't avoid the last position in the final! :(
