So Ed Sheeran has just come out saying he wants to pen the Eurovision entry. Why didn't you mention this before we selected SuRie, honey?

Because he probably wasn't serious, since he wheeled out the usual political voting excuses, and somehow confused England with the UK. I doubt he is remotely interested.

Dan Shipton (@Shiptonite) mention in SuRie's tweet was the Creative Director for Lucie Jones' video and staging last year. He produced Dua Lipa's Brits performance last week, some images/video from Dua's performance:

Yes Productions who Dan is working with on the video have created contend for a variety of artists like Ed Sheeran (funny coincidence considering recent events), The Rolling Stones and Katy Perry. So I think it might be a step up from last year and could visually different.

I don't think they need to change too much. I'd add a bit more power and instrumentation to the chorus and have a stronger finish. That's about it, and it'll be good to go.

I do quite like the verses and the bridge already - so just bring the choruses up to that level and I'll probably be pretty happy with the song. A too-heavy revamp killed my love for the UK entry last year (even if strong live brought it back a little), so this time it might be for the best if they just do what needs to be done.

Agreed that just the chorus really needs a bit a reworking, but equally I think the the choruses after bridge need something a little bit extra particularly to support SuRie's lead vocal, I almost feel like I wanna hear a gospel like sounding choir to help boost it's musically and vocally. The song sets up a big rousing vocal to wards the end it's let down a little by the less than enthusiastic backing vocal on the studio recording/live vocal backing track.

This has actually managed to grow on me. I really find the verses quite nice and uplifting and this song has a light pleasant energy that's easy to swallow and digest. And all in all it's not a badly composed entry. But the chorus is still a major issue for me. She starts it as a pre-chorus but then for the chorus she sings the same thing with like a really generic beat added to it and a really basic melody and the cheesy lyrics don't help and I'm always just so let down, because I listen to the verses and I think "wow, I actually like this" and then it gets to the chorus and that impression is lost. I don't know how a re-vamp could majorly improve this, better to just compose a new chorus honestly, and maybe get rid of the very cliche tropical house sounds people like to randomly add to every pop song these days.

I like her voice and she's got Charisma. But I just can't connect with the song. Something is missing, lacking. And for me it is not just the problem of the Chorus. The song is still okay, but nothing more.

I have a hard time rating this song. It’s super bland and the lyrics kind of cheesy, but it's also an earworm and a song you can easily sing along with. It can finish everywhere, haha.

Now that more entries have been selected I don't think that our entry seems like such a (bad) stand-out, I look forward to the revamp. While it won't make this a great song, and probably not even a good one, it might smooth it out a bit and make it more listenable.
