I heard it myself and she was awful. I'm not sure what blog sites you are talking about, maybe British ones?

But you hate the song anyway which I can tell from the previous comments you've posted here. Fair enough. But I do believe many bloggers induce their own opinion into their comments as well. She may have performed okay, but that will immediately turn to 'awful' because of their bad opinion.

Like many others said, there have been many songs in the past with not such vocal supporters such as Kuula, Standing Still 2012, Italy 2011. This reminds me of a song like that.

Different comments on different sites.
- All Bonnie's years of experience in the pop and rock business come to fruition. She gives a solid performance on the stage with her band. Maybe the song is not instant enough for the views but I think this will be a better placing for UK this year. My prediction: 11-15

- “Heidi Hi” – Bonnie – “I believe in you” my Goddess! What a true professional. This looked and sounded sensational and the audience were cheering before the song finished. One gets the feeling that not only will Bonnie be elevated on the platform on the stage but on the scoreboard. Best she has performed it so far. Good job UK.

- The United Kingdom now with Bonnie Tyler. A safe performance, minus a couple of miss-placed vocals early on, but the crowd gave her a good cheer as the platform rose up.

Reading through multiple blogs it appears Bonnie did an overall decent solid job and was getting some good praise as well, the only negative review I read was escxtra.

They appear to be way more negative and find fault with every little thing and its not just Bonnie. Other countries they trashed got almost opposite reviews (some really positive) from just about everyone else. They claimed Russia blew its final note yet no other blog mentions that at all and say she performed exactly as she always has so far. xshrugxthink Even the countries that all bloggers agreed didn't do so hot weren't the car crash escxtra claimed they were.

So for right now I prefer to trust other bloggers and not escxtra (who apparently everyone else is so eager to believe and proclaim it a disaster) and believe Bonnie did what Blue and Humperdinck couldn't, a decent jury performance. xshrug

^^ Agreed. It seems that people who watched on the stream are saying it wasn't great, but everyone reporting from the arena has been pretty positive. (Maybe the feed wasn't great quality?)

Actually, we watched the live video stream so we heard how it would sound on TV. All the people from this forum who were watching the jury final agreed that her vocal performance wasn't very good. People from the blog sites are blogging right from the arena and the sound there might differ. Other acts sounded mostly good though, so I don't know what the folks from escxtra were hearing.
Let's hope she will sound better tonight

I couldn't find a video or a stream of our act tonight? how do you all know how well she did?

Its all mixed messaging, some people saying she did great and others saying disastrous? I feel more inclined to believe the ones who said she did great.

It wasn't great at the beginning, but from the middle onwards I thought it was great! It looked great with the podium too (I was watching the stream).

Most of the positivity came from the arena, which is of no relevance, since the jury saw what those in the press centre saw. She was poor at the start, got it together in the middle and then fluffed her lines at the end.

I do actually trust EscXtra's views, as they are far more in-depth than the fringe websites and blogs.

Well we don't have a very good track record of Jury performances, what's new? She needs a bloody decent vocal tonight or we will crash to the bottom! That would be utterly disgraceful for her and the UK. I think she'll place 14th. Instinct. COME ON BONNIE!!!

I think Bonnie will do well on the jury vote, don't know about the public vote though.

I actually think it'll be the other way around. I think she'll do fairly well on the public vote, it's the jury vote I can't predict. Look what they did to Engelbert last year (albeit, he was a lot worse, but I thought they'd be a bit more forgiving to an old man than they were).

She was off at the beginning yet you can never tell that well when you going from one screen to another. Germany sounded horrendous on the screen I watched and one backing singer was out.

From the arena Germany and UK neither are bad.

That's true. Blue did poorly on jury vote while did well on public vote while it was the other way round with Jade although not as extreme.

She didn't sound bad to me either.. at all actually? Although the quality of the audio was very muffled. People forget Bonnie is a raw singer. She's not some precise diva, warbling up and down. She a gravely rock chick. Every vocal she gives is something different. Part of her charm. When she had the operation to remove the nodules from her vocal cords, the voice she had before was wrecked. For most people that would be game over but Bonnie turned a disaster into something amazing and unique. I don't see what was so bad about this particular performance here? Pretty much like all her others. I'm slightly worried about the jury but the public vote i'm confident with tonight. She should make top 10.
