The voting has just ended. "Kvitka" won on both sites

The song will be re-recorded. Probably with some improvements. Surprisingly there's no strong opinion about translating it to English. So far it varies from partial translation to leaving it in Ukrainian.

Well, much deserved, and I really like her approach to have like a mini selection before entering the actual selection, it shows commitment and that her team is interested in public opinion.

The song is pretty much already 3min so not much has to be cut out, I really hope they won't translate it to English (but I fear the worst), it just doesn't make sense to have ethno inspired tunes and then put a foreign language there that doesn't really fit.

Maybe the verses could do with English, but definitely not the chorus, and for some reason I recall how slaughtered Zlata Ognevich's Kukushka became in English, so hopefully not a repetition of that atleast. I think English would kill the specific vibe and feeling of this song.

I don't like the song. Maybe it's lyrics or the singer, even the Ukrainian language doesn't save it.

Kvitka is so nice, especially the oriental elements make me like it alot but I hope she doesn't win this year and tries again with a song even better than "I Love You", which is too difficult because it would probably be my nr 1 of 2017 if chosen.

I can't help but think they didn't choose her on purpose because they were afraid to win twice in a row.

Alekseev, huh? How would that work with his producer being in charge of the whole selection? I can already imagine the scandal if he were to win. Plus, all his activities in Russia... I wouldn't be against him, but I don't see it happening.

Its not his fault that his music & her team is based in Russia! + his songs are quite popular at Rusian radio hits.

Bishwut!? Kvinta is his composer, not producer Kvinta is not in the jury. If his song is from a different composer then why not. He will be pawned by 2 jurors in any case

His team is based in Ukraine. Bodnarchuk, Alan Badoev & Kvinta live and work here. The only thing from Russia is his music label. Even the recording studio is in Kyiv

Oh, thought Kvinta was his producer. Still might appear a bit iffy though. Besides, Kvinta wrote his best singles, so who knows what he'll be able to come up with with someone else.

Dunno what shocked me the most - her horrible song or that she's produced by Klimashenko.

Allegedly Klimashenko had abusive (according to lyrics there was a verbal abuse, according to rumours - physical as well) relationships with Tayanna (even despite he was a married man), when she escaped from him and decided to start a solo career he called his media mogul friends and asked them to deny her if she asks them for promo, then he took the rights on all of her songs. The original version of "I Love You" was a response to him. I hate the English version because it turned into a love song while the original was a break up anthem against ugly relationships.

her producer isn't Klimashenko I'm pretty sure.....I think he is just involved with Prymiy kanal unless something else was said that he was involved with her directly??

Klimashenko's agency promotes this show, it seems he's interested in producing someone from that bunch. I hope she stayed independent.
