I already know how it will be: They will choose a very average entry which will be heavily criticized, but they will do miracles with it (revamp) and with a gimmick they will end up in top 5 again :D (like every single year).

I know I was just nitpicking a bit :D This year Ukraine could have finished in the top 5 with a late running order.
I get your point and that is probably what's gonna happen in 2015 too.

3. The weirdest male vocal I found this year:
4. Just a magnificent trio which would reach TOP10 for sure.

I just looked at that guy's bio, he's Russian, and as far as I could tell, has no connection to Ukraine.

Via-Gra could be a very good choice in its current form. That song is pretty weak though.

Something Ukrainian and they would be in with a shout! Also bring back Mariya, she could have done great! Bring back the language rule, I say

Gaitana is good, the song was OK but still a poor man's version of "When Love Takes Over" plus she overdid it live... sometimes less is more :/ A pity because they used a talent on the wrong entry.

Re: UKRAINE 2015

My top choices for Ukraine 2015:

Illaria
Ethno-indie-folk-pop singer that is still quite new to the Ukrainian music scene. She came 5th in the Ukrainian selection for ESC 2014 with "I'm Alive / Ya Zhiva".

Ukrainian studio version of "Ya Zhiva":

Via Gra
One of the most successful Ukrainian/Russian Pop acts and probably the most famous all-girl-group of the ex-USSR and Eastern Europe. The current trio is an all Ukrainian constellation and the result of the music reality-talent show "Hochu v VIA Gru", where the aim was to find three new girls to re-start the brand and group. For ESC-fans, the most famous "ex- Via Gra" would probably be Svitlana Loboda. Vira Brezhneva is perhaps the other most successful out of the previous members.

Nadiya Meiher-Granovska

Former Via Gra member that just recently started her own solo musical career, previously she's been acting as a TV-hostess in Ukraine aswell as a contestant on various music shows, she was also the "mentor" of the winning trio in "Hochu v VIA Gru".

Iryna Fedyshyn
Folk-Euro-pop singer mostly known in Western parts of Ukraine. She could finally get an "all-Ukrainian" break if the Ukrainian ESC selection from now on will be more welcoming of Ukrainian-language acts than previous years' selections which were dominated by English and Russian.

I would add Lama and Okean Elzy there too, but I'd say chances are almost zero that they'd ever enter ESC :/

I totally forgot about

Tonya Matvienko who is another top candidate for me:

^Most of her songs are so dull, though. That one you posted is pretty good, probably the best thing she has recorded.

Re: UKRAINE 2015

I wonder if Ukraine has any male singer ? I mean apart from Verka, their first and 3rd entry all the others are women. Also almost all the singers that people suggest here are women... xthink

I agree, that's her best song. I do like HER though, and with the right song she could be a good candidate.

I say this pretty much every year lol... Ukraine obviously got male singers the problem is that their GOOD male acts (mostly rock bands) are not interested in ESC wheres their BAD male acts (mostly mediocre pop singers with bad material) are interested but for the obvious reasons not good options... the only male act that could be a good option would be Max Barskih since he got strong material, the problem is that in these days with jury voting for vocals he could struggle because he is not a good live vocalist.

Which pretty much leaves us with the female acts who atleast in the Pop genre (the ones more willing to participate for ESC) are far far far superior than their male counterparts.
