Re: TURKEY 2013

Did 95% of the Turkish people know who Can was? Just wondering...

He wasn't saying "Always known people are choosen". He is just making comment about Aynur herself. ;)

Well his point was she shouldn't be chosen because the majority doesn't know her, but that can be said about previous chosen acts aswell ;)

I can't see anywhere a message about "She shouldn't be chosen because the majority doesn't know her" from him/her.

Let's see again...

Seriously? Famous?... Aynur Aydın? Aynur is famous?

Obviously a case of misunderstanding or lost in translation

Most probably the representer is going to be presented in the New Year's Eve as usual. And that's what I think should be.

What would happen if an artist like Hayko Cepkin represented Turkey? It'd be interesting :p

Nothing. I love him and his music is awesome. His appearance and unique voice would make ESC interesting. He is different that's why I was wondering about people's reaction.

I just checked some song from him. All I can say is that; there would be a second "Max Jason Mai failure" :?

It was not a failure imo. But this style is too heavy for a contest mostly addressing to the euro pop-loving teenagers. (Lordi is an exception and they were lucky due to their popularity)

You love or don't. It doesn't change the result in Eurovision which has taken the last place in semi final.

The results in such a corrupt contest is the last thing I take into consideration while judging the songs, sorry.

You take or don't, it doesn't change the fact that after top 10 countries can't qualify to final.

Re: TURKEY 2013

And it doesn't mean that the songs which fail to pass are of poor quality.

Which part I said failed songs are weak/poor quality?
I am saying Hayko Cepkin means that failing at semi like Max Jason Mai did. If Turkey wants to be successful (unlike 2011), shouldn't chose Hayko Cepkin. Now could you get it?? Did you understand?? Can you explain what did you understand??

I wouldn't mind failing in the semi-final at all. It's obvious that anything than euro-pop addressing to the teenagers in this contest does not have much chance to win. Let others strain to get succesful, but I care about fun and entertainment and some quality music, not success.

Thats why in the last 5 contests we only had an pop song winning (Germany 2010) that was actually a very high quality song. And it wasnt even near europop.
