Guys! Of course it will be small! You seem to forget that the ESC will be held in Malmö Arena! The arena is already too small! If they put a big stage in there then they will lose a LOT of space for the audience!
I'm a bit scared about there runway and 360 stage approach... I mean they already chose a pretty small arena for the event, and now they'll fill it all with a huge stage? I mean I'm not a fan of small stages (for instance I highly dislike the MF stages), but I like things to be proportional. Moscow was cool but a bit too big, Germany and Baku both felt big enough and proportional.
I think it's a great stage in comparison to the one I had in mind when the blueprints came out. Otherwise, it's ok, it's not one of the worst stages like 2001 or 2011, but I'm wondering what that thing is in the background, if it's not LEDs. A big plastic sculpture? I'm iffy on that if that's the case.
Well, since it's not a LED screen, but it do looks different depending on the theme/color... perhaps it's some sort of projection which can take on different shapes and themes depending on the entry? I hope it's something like that, because as I've pointed out before atleast imo a good ESC stage is a stage that adds individualism to all the performances and doesn't make them all look same-y... different color-schemes are not just enough imo, there need to be something that really makes differences and so far LED's been a good way of creating different individual backgrounds.
Mmmm but that just seems like a cheap LED setup. Like they couldn't afford to get the screens to put images on so they just got a projector from Malmo University. They did that with the 2002 lighting too, and that was just tacky, I mean I could do that if I wanted to put on my own show in my kitchen like, just hang a bedsheet up and loan a projector from IT here in the college. I hope it's something else, or some LEDs and SVT have just caved on that promise like
