I don't want people who spread hatred and/-or support hatred to be paid by Swedish tax-payers and have the honor to represent the whole country on stage in one of the biggest international shows of all.

Don't get me wrong, a host shouldn't be chosen based on his/her political views, but there should be a line drawn here.

I don't know much about her political views, but I agree she would be a lame host. I'm sorry to say that but in my opinion she looks and acts like a plastic doll. xshrug

I'd like someone professional enough not to be embarrassing to watch (trying to forget the Austrian hosts...) and someone natural enough to be in charge of the "funny" aspect of the show without sounding too much or fake.

Two people are enough tbh. No Petra Mede please, she had her time already.

Don't you have any professional presenter who could potentially be suitable for that job? By presenter, I mean people who aren't past ESC singers.

I think Petra Mede is brillant, but as you said she will be like a repeat of the last time. My guess she will probably not be in question for the job. Now that Sanna Nielsen is out as well, the whole thing is wide open. I think Malena Ernman is a resonable candidate, but she has not done any TV presenting before what I know of.

Here's some thoughts of other female presenters:

lenaphont.jpg

Lena Philipsson - experienced and witty, skill in French?

Lotta Schelin - football player Olympique Lyonnais and Swedish national team

rapaport-63673-0_368_24339w_127881970.jpg

Alexandra Rapaport - one of my favourite actresses

Jill Johnsson - singer mostly country. Have plenty of TV experience

I don't care what Gina think about politics, it's her private matters and her right just like anybody else. Malena obviously has a mission with her mother in without having looked it up seem like a christian charity. I respect her for it but personally I'm not that interested. Malena Ernman is a opera singer known for her vocal range. She is also appointed by the king as "Hovsångerska". etc etc What she thinks about politics simply isn't relevant.

You are wrong in bringing a political aspect as a valid argument in whoever will be host (or other Eurovision subjects). While doing that you also of course advocate for a political opinion in a general thread. The propaganda comes with bringing in politics in the first place. You have been doing it for years and for me it's equally awful everytime.

For the millionth time I don't care what you think is "right or wrong" here, I know I'm on topic and that my point is valid. Maybe you don't care who gets this job, and maybe for you it's totally irrelevant what opinions they have been stating in public (not in private). Maybe you think it's "just a hosting job amongst others", and that's fine, but I don't think so and this is where we differ. You can see this as propaganda all you want, because it's apparent that you have an issue when people have different opinions or care about other things than you do, but from my perspective my points are valid and should be taken into consideration when picking a host.

For instance do you honestly think you can have a host in a contest where we invite different countries when this host is expressing vile hostile opinions against one of these countries? My answer is no, you can't and you shouldn't.

Ah come on, you're using the forum for rightwing populist propaganda. Whenever you see an opportunity, you grab it and make it to a political statement. You even admitted it several times before and claimed it was your "right", called upon freedom of speech and you're expressing the "real truth". At least be honest about it as the mods obviously allow you doing these things.

Artists are inevitably 100% public and many tries to show a human "private" side of their artistry by for example stating opinions and reactions on events. It can be more or less strategic but I think it's usually a longing to show they are just a normal person. Do we judge artists for what they casually express on Facebook? Do we care what they think about different things? Is it relevant in their artistry?

*yawn* ... But I don't expect you to get my point though.

If someone is writing twitter/blogs/articles it's not any longer "in private".

It's so sad that they let Sweden to win again and we'll see one of the most boring and political Eurovisions like always in Scandinavia.

Sorry, but this is pretty boring imo and the only one who's losing from that is the contest itself.

"they" -> the juries
"most boring and political Eurovisions like always in Scandinavia" -> You tell me that Sweden and Denmark didn't make Eurovision a political contest with the LGBT stuff. And don't let me started on the political entries that Finland started sending since 2011.
The booings of Armenia in 2013 and Russia in 2014 and the constant scandals with the juries and fucking up the voting system so that it will favor Sweden are just some minor aspects of the politication of Eurovision after Svante left and that horrible, horrible man Jan Ola Sand took place.

So yes, if the contest is ruined some day, it will be Scandinavia's fault. Period.

You must be really blind not to see that the Swedish victory this year is artificial. Plastic. A lie. Unfair. And this is just the begining of the Swedish hypocrisy. While you are talking so much how you are accepting the gay people and sending an open homophobe? Come on!If Polina Gagarina said the things that Måns Zelmerlöw said, all of you would throw tomatoes at her.

I watch the show because of the music and the artists, not because of the political opinion of some irrelevant swedish fucktards or rude cold bitches like Petra Mede.
