From hoping Sweden isn't sending Mans with a generic overperformed song again to getting a lame, unfunny clownshow of a song by some random Finnish comedians. Sweden never fails to absolutely annoy the hell out of me. Complete rubbish this.

Apparently KAJ got the biggest number of votes in Mello ever. Even topping Loreen. That is kind of crazy, and I'm super interested in the detailed numbers.

And on the other side, apparently John dismissed them in an interview as a "TikTok act Kids can sing along to"? Bruh. That is.... exactly the issue people had with Sweden, the entitlement around getting jury points for absolute mediocrity. If that is "not a System he wants to compete under", than just don't lol

For you who didnt like Revclution what was is that you didnt like? Perhaps the slow beginning with no real intro?

The howling crescendo chorus was quit impactful.
The whole manufactured soulless melody and production. Boring,
Also, I just can 't connect with Måns. Everything about him screams FAKE. Some may argue he is a good music industry product, with a rehearsed smile, but where is the authenticity, the creativity and soul of an artist when everything around him is thought and designed? His tantrum bashing against the jury (clearly hoping they tanked KAJ, because how can you explain the jury winner is moaning about juries) just shows who he is, one day collaborating with KAJ and saying how fun they are, but at the same time not having the humbleness to accept a defeat and feeling good for them, or at least the decency to shut up.
The fact that he has been a fanwank for years just blow my mind... he has been too lucky.

Danny apparently immediately sent Måns a mocking text saying "Welcome to the club" following by kissing emojis lol. Måns was seen showing it to someone at the afterparty and being annoyed over it.

The article on Aftonbladet is paywalled, but supposedly when they were playing KAJ at the afterparty, John Lundvik danced mockingly and said "What an amaaaazing voice, this is great music". The crashout is real

I am happy that Finnish Swedes gets this chance, proud of them!

For me it was hilarious moment when Måns' points were told, it took a moment for KAJ to comprehend what had happened, kind of shock to them. They clearly thought Måns would make it.

For me the final performance was 9/10, it was good. I would grade Måns same 9/10, it was good too. (Måns paper storm was slightly off-putting for me). KAJ's semi-performance was for me 11/10.

(KAJ) Tiny things, I was sensing some tiredness and tension, camera angles/movements were slightly not as engaging as in semi, plus I was missing the sweat wipe at p*rkele moment. The moment when sauna came up was slightly tensed compared to semi where it was more like "come come we need it". It has been surely a hectic ride for them and I can totally understand. Time for some sauna and contemplation. May the stage be full blast of steam at May again hred And happiness :) And twinkle still in the eye ;)

I think my top 5 was in Mello final:
1. KAJ 9/10
2. Måns 9/10
3. Dolly Style 8/10
4. Klara Hammarström 8/10
5. Maja Ivarsson 7/10

Mello dancers were great. And they did great also in KAJ's performances! It is unfortunate that one of them cannot take part; I felt that all of them had fun participating in this performance :)

Maybe, just maybe, I felt the need to go back to Eurovision 2019 and watch that televoting sequence only to see Johns dumb face when he received only 93 tele points. For reasons.

Seriously, I give Måns more of a pass because he was the heavy favorite and invested so much in this, of course his emotions are running high. It feels human. But John had zero shot at winning, so I do not get his behavior at all. It really feels mean-spirited and entitled.

Let me recall... Måns won Eurovision. Hosted the contest the year afterwards. Became an ESC icon and legend among new generation fans. But still isn't satisfied because not everyone liked his garbage NF song the most.

What else defines a loser?

What an incredible show it was! I watched Melodifestivalen for the first time in a long long time and my first impression of the winning song was "eh, OK", but it grew on me a lot! I mean, yeah it is not something you would expect Sweden to send especially knowing that they had this EXTREMELY calculated but outdated performance by Mans. IMO Kaj saved Mans from receiving 10 points from public vote after 3004000 pts from jury. That would be a shame and now he will still remain as ESC legend for the commoners. And as for Kaj it was probably a completely unexpectable competitor with lower stage budget but it is what it is. The song is catchy and an earworm to say at least. So it is going to end up really high

Yeah, here is a picture of it lol (or at least this picture was attached to the article). I'm sure this left a great impression with everyone else in the room, especially Karin Gunnarsson. Especially charming doing this where KAJ are able to see it.

I mean, I can understand John's comments in a way, I imagine for a lot of artists it must feel weird being beaten by a novelty song from what essentially is a theatrical troup/YouTubers. KAJ are not Käärijä or Joost in terms of them being eccentric musical artists who are in line with current trends (hyperpop/90s revival/whatever), they are showmen and performers first and foremost (I don't mean this in a negative or demeaning way, KAJ were my favourites as well).

But despite what I just said, Hooja is one of our most popular artists in Sweden. As are others acts like Bolaget, etc. I don't think a party song that's sort of in the same genre winning is less representative of our music scene than sending Måns again, especially not when it's staged and choreographed so well.

So in essence those who didnt want Sweden to win are glad that we choose KAJ. Even some swedes who voted for KAJ didnt want to win Eurovision but Månsfans like winning.

While KAJ is "different" in many ways, the chorus is also quite generic, and I wouldn't be surprised if someone came with an older song and said "look, it sounds exactly like this one".

So with all the reactions it is not very smörgåsbord in Sweden apparently
glad to see the fan and public enthusiastic reaction to KAJ being chosen at least

I mean yeah, the "Yksi kaksi kolme sauna" thing is kind of derivative. Anderz Wrethow was also the songwriter behind a certain other raspy-voiced Swedish novelty artist, who had a moustache and wore glasses.

It's fun seeing the facade drop. Mans walked in thinking he got this in the bag and he probably did. Now reality is hitting him hard. No important vets returning, mediocre lineup, and KAJ being in the same semi as Mans tells me production had no such expectation of a dark horse snatching the win from the golden boy.

With that being said, I can understand Mans' disappointment. Must be tough to lose something tailor made for you to win.

What I don't understand is John Lundvig being salty. Did he not see the writing on the wall or was he straight up delulu?

A bit naive to invite an irish jury to Melodifestivalen. I like Ireland and its people but when it comes to Eurovision they want to keep their record atleast most of them. Thats probably why they tanked Måns, I could be wrong but thats what I guess happened. That doesnt mean that KAJ cant win but the experts believed Måns had a greater chance.

The reactions of Mans and John make me even more confident about not liking them and their personalities at all. Especially John seems to be such a sore loser. It started with his dumb face at the televoting in 2019 and now this. Who the hell does he think he is? His songs are mediocre at best, there’s absolutely nothing special about them. Vocals are good, but he’s no superstar. Is acting like a superstar though. And this year it was clear that he wouldn’t be anywhere near winning MF, did he really expect that?

Yeah people acting like their lord and saviour won against evil Mans, when it's yet another unfunny "joke" entry that could be mistaken with an interval act in a nordic NF. Yawn. I'm not saying "Revolution" deserved to win, but y'all acting like we avoided some kind of "I don't feel hate" kind of entry.

As for "Bara Bada Bastu", a very generous :5:
