But I don't know, it is good pop song, to listen to it every day, but I think that Lie To Me, Toy, Fuego are more noticed and listened, and doing great on the charts. Benjamin wasn't doing bad, too, but all these are better charting, especially Mikolas, oh, he took whole target audience from Benjamin. I am content with everything this year, even with 7th place, I just wanted it to be in top 10, if it is possible, and it was, with many obstacles( public vote, I think it deserved top 15 at least, but ok). I just don't understand haters going and writing bad comments still THIS DAY and even they mention still this stupid reaction video. It wasn't song for victory at ESC, but I still think it is decent to listen, outside of the ESC bubble. ;) It basically means who loves DYO is not normal person in the eyes of the fandom or something like that, I have impression.

Yay! xyaaay Same happening with me, even after Eurovision! After Melodifestivalen, it was on repeat during whole day, pretty much, for two months, and I still love to listen to it, even now, few times per day, at least! xmusic And I love it even more than new songs released on MTV, Benjamin is better than all of them. :D

Yes, I listened to this Song around 500 Times during the MF-Season and hoped everyday that the Remaining MF-Entries are weak so that Benjamin can win without Problems :D
After a few weeks break, I listen to it again and love it as much as in the Beginning x12s
This proves that this Song didnt need the Staging to be a great Song.

I agree with everything, especially with the last sentence! :) :D I also wanted Benjamin to win MF, and I was so happy when my favorite song from this year's MF won. xjump Bass-line is so amazing, addictive and best thing I ever heard from the beginning of this year, when it comes to music overall. xmusic I discovered his song only 7 days before MF Final, but I started to like it instantly. You should also check Extended version of DYO, it was posted here, on the previous page, I think, it is also great. It has longer first verse, and new touch of the bridge. :)

I also love the song without performance, too much, and as for performance, it was something most visually appealing, interesting, amazing and original, I have ever seen at the whole contest. I understood whole idea of it, and I appreciate it. xbow

It´s pretty likely it will be so, you managed 4th place and we only 7th, I´m pretty sure you are in the IJ next year

Hopefully. Our Jury helped Sanna to win over Ace Wilder back then.

You don´t even know how grateful I was for that, I didn´t like Ace Wilders song 2014, it´s pretty ironic that I instead liked her songs both in 2016 and 2017

Contradiction at its best:

- included in the top 10 most viewed videos of this year on the channel of the contest
- entered the official charts of France, Spain, Great Britain, etc.
- 16 million plays on Spotify
- about 15 million total views on YouTube
- No. 11 in the European iTunes Chart
- No. 25 in the iTunes world chart
and after that the audience gave only 21 points? ..

Some explanations I found:

In general, many factors affected:
- the section of the audience, that is, the part of the little girls that was supposed to draw the song to the top, went to the Czech and to the Ukrainian
- too modern song for the contest, certainly not the winner
- Eurovision fans disliked Sweden, because the jury is constantly give a lot of points to its representatives + Benya spoiled his reputation a little with the reaction to other contestants
- the song was popular enough until the Eurovision Song Contest, it was constantly publicized, so everyone could easily get bored with
-running order killed it, performing very late with all the big favorites right after made people forget about it (obviously, Christer played yourself)

This is reasonable explanation and point of the view from unbiased and normal people, healthy in their brain, I already know what haters from this forum think about it, and it is narrow-minded and not interesting at all, so their further explanation is kinda not needed.

EDIT: I have found all these reasons on Eurovision blog that discusses the results, and many things about ESC, I copy-pasted it, only thing that I added is Youtube link. Last sentence is maybe harsh because this year there are lot of haters, attacking Swedish entry in rude and afwul way, on the different forums, websites, etc. before thinking and reading anything that praises it in some way, and not in calm and objective way, I don't think it is used to make any harm, but web could be strange sometimes. As for me, I mentioned many times that I am more than content with 7th place, so I posted this just for fun and reading, for those who wonder why is this song doing pretty good outside the contest, but failed on the night of the final, because I saw lot of people commenting it on different websites, outside this forum, why the thing ended like this when it comes to televoting. :)

So only your opinion is right and everyone who disagrees with you is not reasonable, biased and not normal. (And maybe the less is said about the ableism the better.)

Seems like you can still not get over the 21 points.

Well, that is not the reason I posted this. I don't have anything to get over, because 7th place is excellent and his song is doing great AMONG the PUBLIC, so you misunderstood whole post, you should read better. This song was popular among public before and after the ESC, and that is my point above. I am not mad about results, I am quite content, I was writing about contradiction. And I don't understand why you always feel mentioned in my every post in Swedish tread, I write it for the people who LOVE, LISTEN TO THIS SONG, AND CARE ABOUT IT. Things can not be more simple, and you always get mad and feel called out and mentioned. Relax, take it eaaaasyyyy.

I did understand. And the 21 points were basdically why you wrote the post. Why defending Benjamin when from your Point of view there is no reason to defend him?

Then don't call others stupid if they don't like Benjamin. You provoke answers.

There is no reason to defend him, whole my post is copy-paste from other place on the web. Really is. I mentioned it because it sounds interesting, for those who like the song at first, and than for the others. I don't see anything wrong with that point. If you don't love the song you shouldn't even care about posts here, just like I don't care and don't write at most of the others threads. :) I don't even click on the threads of the songs I am not interested in, because I call it "waste of my precious time", because I have time only for things I love, in my spare time, and I am busy a lot, usually.

The whole thing was a post from somewhere else? Okay ... then I apologize! Thought it was coming directly from you. Oh well. Seems we are both sometimes hot.headed.

I don't see that word stupid, it was about something else. But think as you like, that was what I thought. Haters gonna hate anyway. That I was thinking, not being stupid, but you are just trying to argue non-stop. But, yes, I copied it from some Eurovision blog. All those reasons, because many people were shocked with the result, even those who don't love the song were in shock, noone thought it would come so low.

It is ok, really, I am not mad at you, I agree with your opinion more often, on the other threads, as I have noticed. ;) We disagree only on Sweden, but that is ok, people think differently always. And I haven't called you and anyone else stupid, because it would be wrong since I don't know anyone from here in real life. It was post from people who are overthinking why this song is selling good and public kinda love it, but at the night of the final it went unrecognized. That is whole story, I thought it is interesting just. :D
