Here is another clip (~2 min) from Benjamin's rehearsal. It's part of Schlagerprofilerna's vlog

We were complaining here about the lights day before, but Wiwibloggers have said that lights actually look more expensive and better now.
Sounds reassuring. He has been rehearsing the act at least since December and using a choreography with built-in thought-through camera angels. He should be able to do the act while sleeping at this stage. The moves have grown into his reflexes, his body will remember them for the rest of his life. I think the crucial issue now is the first 15 seconds which should contain at least one major camera close up on Benjamin. DO YOU HEAR THAT MANAGEMENT??!
Benjamin's dance and "Bengtsson-style" head-nod just grates on me so much and puts me off the song. When it comes on my playlist, I don't skip it, but watching the performance I'm so distracted by the visuals that I barely notice the song any more. Robin's overall performance last year was more engaging and dynamic - this is just an annoying guy being a bit smug and dancing through a neon light showroom, won't challenge for the win
I think what lolita means is the there's a difference between not to appreciate a voice and dislike it due to thinking it's weird or other reasons better not be mentioned. To state it's a perfectly "legit" and "officially OK" established way to sing, if you understand what aI'm getting at.
But there were lot of close ups at Melfest, i think? Camera cuts are exactly same as it was in Melfest, from what we have heard for now. I know I am subjective, but 8th position at the odds are too low, for such visually appealing performace, objectively, it is among top 5 performances, if we look for visual effect, and the song is for sure not that bad like people are overreacting, just beacuse it is from Sweden. It has everything: modern, excellent produced, catchy song, great, charismatic, confident and good-looking perfomer, amazing staging. What's not to like? In the past 2 years Sweden was in top 3 or at least top 5 at the odds, and the performances were nowhere near appealing like this one. Maybe I am too subjective, but I don't know what to think...
No, I can't relate at all. In my experience, it is probably one of the most accepting industries. People show great respect to countertenors. Benjamin isn't even singing in falsetto and neither is Ryan O' Shaugnessy. They're not even moving an octave
Well, I haven't looked it up, but the lack of contact was the big issue for me at Melodifestivalen. I just remember it was more OKish in the final. It kind of got completely overshadowed by the sheer number of other major general issues in Melodifestivalen this year. I just want to forget about the mess.

Robin Bengtsson is a way better singer then Benjamin and Robin's non-esc songs are also way better than his esc songs. He is a genuinly cool guy and very different personality compared with Benjamin. Benjamin may be a better artist though.
Hahaha, Benjamin reminds me of American pop stars like Justin Biber, Timberlake, and many more... Btw, I like Benjamin's personality more than Robin's, I love interesting and overconfident people.
That's the difference here - overconfident or cocky people are a complete turn-off for me and I will immediately shut-off to whatever they are doing to block them out. Maybe that's part of my major issue with this

ESCKerli But Eric Gadd is singing falsetto, right? And the Bee Gees? I'm confused
The thing is, he isn't smug or cocky. He was born into a big celebrity family and have had to deal with expectations and presumptions all his life. As I understand it hasn't always been easy for him, especially not in school.
