I agree on what's stated above. How boring is it if you have to listen to 40+ songs and only say nice things about them? Us fans trash songs all the time, why can't he? That's the beauty of art, it's just as fun and delicious to praise something as it is to diss something

So I spent 14 minutes watching this video that has caused a stir, waiting to get offended...

The best part of the video was the Georgia shade. It made me laugh even and it's my on/off favourite of the year. Just total silence and that look on his face. And the "Norwegian Barri Manilow" comment is the best accidental shade i've witnessed in a while.

Weird to make a competing artist sit down and comment on each song. What did people possibly expect? I'm sure 99% of us fans have said worse publicly here and other places *holds hand up*. Benjamin Ingrosso calling San Marino's NF "low budget" hasn't changed my opinion of him really. But anything I guess can cause a ruckus in Eurovision fan world. Perhaps a silly video to make in the first place but let the guy off the hook here. Storm in a teacup situation I think.

Yes agree fully, it's been mentioned elsewhere that Wiwiblog wanted to to a "roasting", but it apparently misfired. The guy is sweet even if he's a bit of a spoiled brat. I'd say it was pretty brave of Benjamin to try it, given English is not his first language, maybe he should try again in Italian?

Hahahah, I must admit I am laughing so hard, seeing same people, literally same, writing bad comments about him on Youtube or instagram, like they are trying waaaay too hard, to make their miserable and overall boring lives better by taking down other person.

Hi is such a sweetie, I listened many of his interviews. He is little spoiled, but that is considerable when we see that he is coming from popular and rich family, he is living high-profile life. Being spoiled doesn't make someone evil person, and people are acting like Benji is nothing less than Hitler no2. I mean, are all those haters even real and grown-up people!?

I was listening to NRKs pre-Eurovision show and Laura Rizzotto came on and I realised she or the song somehow reminded me of Pauline. Don't get me wrong, I adore Laura, but I suddenly wished Pauline was singing with her unique tone and her marvellous little soul twists. So sad we hear so little from her now. Here's a great clip from Musikhjälpen 2008 (dec), live with simple means as it should.

Pauline - Never said I was an Angel

Yeah, Sweden is very succesful in ESC, and that's good, but little Ingrosso knows that whatever he says, he's just safe because he represents Sweden.
The ''I don't care, we are the best, we are rich and have a full jury to support me'' attitude is the worst. What is this? He was so wrong, that's why he apologized! And it's so so bad and mean to laugh at countries that are low budget, like really, is that a ''honest opinion''? This is just childish and arrogant, because he knows that he will be top 5-10 whatever what. So if some of you defends him, you are wrong. bye girl!

Please stop this...

What has the fact that Sweden is a rich country and successful in ESC anything to do with what Benjamin said??
Do you actually think that Swedish representatives can do and say anything they want just becuase they are form Sweden?

Sorry to ruin your theory but Sweden does not controll the ESC and we certainly don´t have any power whatsoever over the juries...

So enough with this conspiracy,

Benjamin was asked to do a reaction video and at the same time say what he thought.
This was his first impression of this songs, and he probably said the first things that came to his mind.
Also keep in mind that english is not his first language, sometimes it could sound more harsh because he can´t find the right word.

For example the comments on Macedonia, when he said they found the drummer on the street, that dosen´t mean he thinks he looks like a beggar or some homeless person that i´ve read, only that he looked a little misplaced..

And San Marino, low budget could also mean that it looked small, hardly no audicande etc.

As said this so ridiculous that we even have to discuss this small matter...

Benjamin apologized even though he should not have to, let it go and move on!

Haha

Yeah well that is right of course. I guess we have the win in the bag then?

The juries have been bought already, the stageshow is all set thanks to Swedens endless resources.

The only thing we now missing is the televotes, is there anyway we can buy this too?

He has said few minutes ago that there will be small changes in his performance, I hope not bad changes though. :p The performance from Melfest was perfection.

Uhm because he's competing against them maybe? Us fans have nothing to win or lose by bashing other songs or artists. He's competing in the same contest against them, plus they're his colleagues! By bashing their songs, he's basically implying that his song is the best. So theoretically he's benefiting. It's completely unprofessional.

Moreover, imagine what will happen when he gets to meet the drummer of Eye Cue for example. What? Is he gonna act as if everything is fine and they're best buds? I would be very offended if another contestant called me "homeless" and made fun of the way I play the drums.

I think calling them colleagues is a stretch, and Eurovison has never had the aura of don’t critique your competitors. Several artists over the years have thought and stated their song is the best, and they should. Like Tooji said: if I don’t believe in myself, who will? Being humble is not an objective criteria.

If I was the drummer I would just shake it off and laugh, you can’t take everything in life too serious

Belive in yoursef <---> Laugh loud and openly at low budget countries.

You might be right anyway (but you aren't) and there's no need to show respect for one's oponents (like... really? can anyone stand fot this?).
But if someone takes that path, then he shouldn't vicmise himself if he is, therefore, called an arrogant a**hole.

He has already apologized and the video was removed. That honours him. Defending everithing was allright don't help his cause anymore.

Nevertheless this pointless overhyped drama, and making the bull out of fly, peolle called him arrogant a**hole, FROM THE START OF THE SEASON, when poor kid was chosen to represent his country, just because he represents Sweden, and because of his sassy dance performance, and confident behavior on stage, so it is not like this drama matters. Even if he said all nice things, you would all think the worst of him, it is NOT like you would start to like and appreciate him suddenly, so why still bother and discussing this. (Hipocrysy at its best!!! ) Noone ever gave him the chance to prove himself as a good person and artist, from the beginning just. And now people are hypocrytes, but I am just 100 % sure that I am right at this point, even when many people here try to prove that I am wrong. "I am not hating on him, but just..." Oh, just don't even start, and admit you really hate him, whoever you are.He was wrong, but even if he wasn't, you will still all act rude and mean towards him, I just know it, and noone will convince me that it is not like that. Fandom just got now real reason to stomp on him even more, but as I 've said they did it even before this drama, and it is sad he naively gave you reason, because you waited for it so much, like bloodthirsty vampires wait for the blood. ENDING POINT of this- your treatment/reactions/emotions/behavior towards him are and will be the same WITH/ WITHOUT HIS REACTION VIDEO. So what are you trying to prove there for days?! Get a life, and enjoy songs and contestants you actually love/support, this way you are all just waisting your precious time and energy for someone you think is not worth it and anything just.

He is talented as much as he is privileged. The reaction video will backfire imo.

It won't, because fandom is only less than 5% percent of the votes. Or should I remind you that Mans made homophobic comments and he won?!
