Hahahahha you reacted almost like Alesia Michelle.... xrofl3xrofl3xrofl3xrofl3xrofl3

You didn't like Salvador?

Sorry for replying with delay. Salvador was okey, but not my cup of tea. I can understand why he won, but it is surely not music I listen to, when I want to turn off my brains to relax :)

Yeah I agree, they're annoying as heck these days, like they don't even try to bring constructive criticism anymore and just put down acts they don't like. Considering all they're hyping atm is Saara Aalto...

Their reaction to "Hvala, Ne!" was published a relatively long time after Lea's victory (while Armenia and Latvia got their moment pretty quickly). I was expecting more enthusiam from them, but no, it's probably not basic enough for them. The Irish guy is indeed the worst of them all, he's so prejudiced and rude whenever he expresses his opinion. :?

I wrote already reply to this message three days ago, but my boss called me in the meanwhile, the site got frozen, and I never posted it. So, brief reply with delay to you too tuorem. In fact, I have nothing to add to your post. You've nailed it. And you are right, they are overhyping Finland, which honestly, did not impress me that much. It's an okey entry, but surely not Loreen's level Euphoria. So... Okey.

On the other hand, yup, Wiwibloggs is all about personal preferences and intuitive judgements. It feel sometimes as if they've become so self-absorbed and the same time so detached from what is happening around them that I feel really tired of their comments. The only thing about Wiwibloggs is that they are usually first to write articles and publish news about winners. Alors, c'est ça, je dirais :)

You just reminded me that, when looking through the NF entries for this year a while back, I was amazed to find that I... actually quite enjoyed ManuElla's entry? I hated Blue and Red. Hated it. So when I was listening through songs, enjoyed Glas, checked who the singer was, and saw it was her, I kind of just sat there dumbfounded for a bit

Still, it's not quite as big an impact as what I had with Jamala. I absolutely could not stand her with that 2011 NF entry Smile, but then 1944 came along and Ukraine was my #1 for the year. I guess the song really does matter!

Manuella... I remember that someone was calling her here Mozarella. In any case, she has better producers now, but her problem is still weak voice. She has a beautiful voice color, but simply very poor vocal range. I was struggling to listen her till the end.

I can't stand him  whenever he's in a reaction video I cringe and most times I just skip his questionable opinions

Ahm, last time I was kidding a bit, when I rapped in Slovenian and invited you for a date (I think you did not understand that part ), but after reading this post of yours, I can see that maybe that joke wasn't a joke after all, since I also skip his commentaries ahahahahaha :)

I had so much fun re-watching her post-victory performance. xheart It seems like she was gradually realising what just happened by putting aside some of her rehearsed gestures: the fourth dancer smiling at her during the second verse, as well as Lea inviting the girls to stop their dance routine towards the end of the bridge and singing a few Portuguese words are such cute highlights tbh. Her glee was infectious to me.

It took RTVSLO some time to upload it though.

I've listened to some of her interviews after having won. This girl is a bit crazy (in a good sense), always ready to joke, and seems genuinely sincere. It feels as though she is really enjoying herself and her life at the time being. I envy her :)

Bless her xheart I also get really positive vibes from her on a personal level. I hope she'll enjoy her Eurovision journey, it's finally her time after being part of it as a backing vocalist. :)
And who knows what can happen? A qualification maybe! ;)

Gurl, I feel ya. Shit happens all the time. Not a huge fan of K-Pop (nor rap), but look at me. I WAS VOTING FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OUR NATIONAL SELECTION! :)

That's nice! I hope your country keeps giving some amazing songs for more years

She has a very healthy attitude towards ESC. She is being realistic so far. I don't think she is expecting anything result-wise. All she said was only that she expects good performance from herself.

Qualification? I don't know. Even if she is not allowed to change lyrics to English, I won't be mad. She screwed it up, cuz she didn't check the rules of EMA. It was clearly written that the song must be performed in ESC in the language in which it was performed in EMA's finals. Perhaps, RTV SLO will allow her to change it, but I doubt. Rules are rules after all, and it wouldn't be fair towards other competitors. Now, I think that that drop in chorus still needs something small extra. It's too empty and too long. When she starts repeating that HVALA NE for third time, an additional instrument should be added. Not too much, something small, to make it more diverse, interesting.

Notwithstanding, I wouldn't say she is completely without chances of qualifying. The fact is that this year's line-up is actually quite average/equal. I still haven't got winner's alert, rien, niente, nolia, zero, nada. I've heard some of San Marino's songs, all Melfest entries (snippets)... Also that Estonian entry that everyone is talking. Oh, and Iceland - no offense, but this is really bad national selection. Cyprus isn't bad, but... But I had that feeling as if I am seeing Ivi Adamou again in ESC. As for Netherlands - this guy, if he doesn't come up with some great stagging, honestly, I fear he could get stuck in semis. In fact, if I am honest, Aalto's Monsters leave me dead cold. She is cute, she is a great singer, but that song ain't doing anything for me. Sorry, people.

Oh, today I heard French entry again. It's still great. Music is simply great, and the singer delivers it. Okey, now, I've written an essay :) Sorry, tuorem hahaha.

You are demanding too much from Slovenians, including me  We are famous for screwing up things. Now televoters, then again juries. But we still have the best Pan-European taste, demonstrated by statistics. WE have given the most points to winners in history :)

It's certainly interesting, I'm always down for a badass empowering message and I can certainly see this having fans as this type of music can have pretty passionate fans, though I'm not sure it'll get through (but it could surprise). I do actually like the chorus though (yes I've also become one bopping along to it after disliking it at first ), it's not something I'd run to listen to otherwise but it makes this song tons more memorable.

i feel so guilty for saying this but i do think translating it to english would be a smart eurovision move. i am sure i wouldn't like it as much as i do now, but it has a deceptively good theme to its lyrics that, if made more obvious for juries, will possibly see more success.
