Given that we all agree that Juries will obliterate this- here are the Countries that normally give televotes to Russia but aren't in SF1-
Bulgaria, Lithuania, Estonia, Israel, Cyprus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Greece
Here are the SF2 countries where televoters usually give points to Russian entries-
Serbia, Latvia, Germany, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova. Even if Julia somehow gets 8 points from all these countries, 48 points is nowhere near the 100+ she would need.

People who say she can't sing, watch this or her performance of Molitva.
Something went terribly wrong on her performance in Moscow.
At the end she said she was too nervous because it's the first time she performed it in front of people.
ESC will be an even bigger audience, she needs to get over the stress factor.

In Sochi, there wasn't even any qualification at stake.

What are you talking about? She gave concerts on Crimea and she entered a casting show! Do you think she sang before empty halls?

Honestly, if you want to be a performing artist a single new song should not make you that nervous. (which I believe was not the case. Why looking for a complicated explanation, when there's a simple one: she's just not a good singer)

I don't think anyone wants to see that ever again

Apart from the fact that I don't like the song at all, you are right. But her singing mostly wasn't sooooo bad, but the chorus part hurt my ears. :? But since I dislike this shallow song, it doesn't matter anyway!

Playback? It's also very possible that with her condition her vocals are becoming progressively worse with time.

Honestly I don't think the song is that bad, it's just nothing special. Personally I'm extremely tired of :ru: sending ballads year after year. Does a country with 140 million people or so really have problems with sending something unique?

Also, like it has been said, Yulia's live is not that great. I'm sorry for her because she seems to be a sweatheart, but unfortunately the performance was a bit of a disaster.

You're right, she seem indeed like a sweetheart and her singing isn't great but it isn't bad either. Without knowing so much about it, it also seems she is been taking advantage of somehow and someway.

Does someone know if the awkward way in which she moves her tongue is related to her disability? No wonder she sounds so bad when she sings considering that she cannot even control the movements of her tongue properly. If it's because of her disability, I don't want to say bad things about it, but she certainly looks weird and gross in the music video. She even stretches her tongue out of her mouth when trying to sing an L. I'm sorry for her if it's because of her disability but she can't sing and doesn't deserve pity votes just because she is disabled.

It's rather an effect of exaggerated lip-singing. This occurs frequently when doing this without speaking the the language (as she most probably doesn't according to her interviews I saw online, which were all in russian with a translator who also translated the questions).

It definetly was under-whelming when I first heard this. But I've grown to like and enjoy this song. And it's one of the most modern efforts from Russia, really... Hope she'll give a good performance at Eurovision xheart In the end she can really sing well.

Well well well...

To be honest, I think Julia will keep trying to improve her vocals and how she sounds. Her performance in the Moscow Pre-Party was below average, but I reckon it's being provoked by both a stress factor and her illness. That's what I'm expecting her to achieve 'till May.

Ok everything, but I definitely don't understand why is she singing in English. She even said in one interview she got translation of her song so she can understand what she is singing about. Cmon. And plus, it's super hard to understand her English. I know there have been many other singers and songs with broken English at ESC, but this is beyond that.

yeah it's very counter productive. people send entries in english to improve their chances specially with juries since they seem to be pretty anti-ethnic recently but... they are losing more by having yulia sing way beyond her capabilities. a lot more. not to mention that televote cares less about english than we give them credit for and would vote for this song in russian just fine if she wasn't a disaster.
