The lowest added amount of semi final of points( when adjusted for semi-final size) that a qualifier has won since 2010 were for Tooji for Norway in 2012, who got 97, 72 televote points and 25 Jury points. Julia will probably gets the same or lower from Juries, I don't see how she gets up to 72 from televoting with this level of performance. And that's the LEAST she could possibly need. Most qualifiers have between 100-130 points.

I think her song last year suited her more, they should have kept to that and ignored the criticisms.

if this qualifies ebu should just form a big six with russia and the five because it would be clear that russia will qualify every single time no matter what they send.

She actually sounded quite fine in the verses!!!

Don't get me wrong, but if she manages to improve her vocals until the rehearsals week in May, she's going to suceed in pulling it off!

It will though, believe it or not. :(

Maria ruined her performance up because of the whole staging. We didn't see her performing in Lisbon yet.

You expect Yulia to PERFORM? I actually really thought she was just there to sing it. If she pulls off a choreo while singing, I'm voting my ass off to get her through to the GF.

^ To the mic video - it sounds like a goat edition. It would suit it perfectly but I'm too lazy to make the vid.

I wasn't talking about that kind of performance. Every second of Maria's performance was a cringeworthy mess. From the skirt to the "Icelandic" backdrop behind her along with the horrendous choreography, everything was tragic.

As for Julia, I expect the Russian delegation to make up a charming staging in the same way as :pl: in 2015 or a breathtaking performance like :ua: in 2011 with the sand artist. Believe it or not, both singers didn't dance nor move. ;)

I'll keep my prediction that Russia will NQ this year

It seems to be the likeliest outcome.

Well Belgium girl sucked last year so hard it was unlistenable for me, yet she finished TOP5. And I didn't care if she was scared or anything just like I don't care if this one is on wheelchair. Learn to sing before you try Eurovision, people!

Oh I only remember her golden feet and that she was tiny. I'm gonna give it a chance since now I know Hera was there!

There is NO WAY she can sing as well as normal person would. This girl is ill and has disability, and because of that she can't even achieve accuracy between singing and breathing. It is true that this is not for final, but I don't understand why ill people compete even in such condition. I guess that she loves singing, and she is brave enough to compete. Maybe juries and public would have her disease in mind, and would actually vote for her.

I openly despise what we did back in 2015. Clearly we qualified cause of the wheelchair and the fact that Monika wasn't that bad live.

Just like I think people should finally realise and stop voting for such crap. Which means Yulia should stay in her semi. And countries will stop sending entries like that. Especially when picked internally.

I agree that she should't qualify, and I really think that any kind of competition is only for healthy people, first of all, because their condition could get worse, and then because they don't deserve to qualify because of pity. I wonder even how Salvador could compete with ill heart, which function was reduced. I mean all that stress, pressure, voting, etc, how he managed to stay alive ( I am saying this only because I was concerned back then about his health, his song is deserved winner, one of my favorites, and he sang well).

I think we should give her an other opportunity to perform a bit better than she did tonight. Look at Blanche last year, even though her entry was faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar more awesome.

Never thought I'd see the day but... yeah, Russia is in big danger, I'll say now it's even more likely to not-qualify that to actually make it.

And I didn't even hate the song! I like it: yeah, it's cheesy, but not that much more than the average Eurovision track, but the performance was so bad, I could almost listen to that "Curb Your Enthusiasm" theme...
