only if she just lip sings to the what the backing vocalists do.
Actually she had 2 this time. Add the other 3 so it might become listenable.
*Unless they count her double as she's riding multi-track vehicle. Then bring just another 2

I personally don't like any vocals of 4 representatives in Moscow this evening, microphone is really strange and their hearing, some echo producing.. :?
Wow, what a performance... :? Her make-up was horrible to begin with, and her vocals were simply off. They'll probably have the maximum amount of backing vocalists for the chorus in Lisbon for the sake of making them sound powerful, but what about the rest? The verses and second parts of the chorus are vocally doable for her, she just has to apply herself more. And singing in English wasn't a good idea, I'm sure she focuses on that more than anything else.
Nice outfit though!
there is no way she is qualifying. no juror outside the alliance will give this points. AND it's first half. despite russia being russia i will be shocked if this goes to the final after all.
it won't change a thing. her performance is just bad. overpoweringly bad. like maria olafs, who had five backing singers including mellifluous goddess hera björk and she still ruined it all by herself. yulia is maybe even worse.Don't you forget the backing singers?

The same goes for the verses and the brige part. As of her vocals, I think she won't struggle that much singing her entry a bit well apart from the chorus, she just needs to train her vocals, work hard on her English skills. OH, and for God's sake, can force her to switch from English to Russian? It'd be less painful and harmful to listen to this performance. I'm so disappointed by Julia, I really thought that she was going to take everyone down by astonishingly achieving the feat of being "on point" in regards to her vocals. I truly hope that she won't give up solely based on her poor vocal performance and the mixed reactions from the people in the audience or from the eurofans.

Indeed, and I want to wait for other performances before making a proper opinion. I'm not looking for excuses or anything, but she seemed stressed (pressure of the first live?) and sh*t happens sometimes. The sound system wasn't the best either. She certainly is able to improve her vocals, if she can sing "Molitva", she shouldn't struggle that much with "I Won't Break". Only the chorus seems to be way out of reach.
If she doesn't improve though, I do wonder how the Russian delegation will handle this. She could still pull a Samra and magically hit every note on the night that counts.
Anyway, she usually sings better than that, I'm confused.

May I just ask: Did you hear her sing at an occasion where you could have been absolutely sure that there was no playback/autotune or other technical issues involved? Plus - her illness is a disintegrating one, what she may have been able to do half a year, or even a couple of months ago might be much more than her disease allows her to do now. She also looks even more thinner in this video than in the official one.
