It was one of the earlier news... :(

I'm fearing a very simplistic "concert-like" stage... while I expect something more from a show like ESC... I'll wait and see the result till I pass judgments but as of now it's even as I want a more "show-offy" country to win... I just don't like when stages look empty... what comes to mind is Denmark 2001 and Norway 2010... it all looked same-y, I prefer when the stage is used to help build a individual environment for each entry.

Melodi was also without LED and looked nice

Yep, it would make a great opening song. But it's not really a ballad, either.

Yeah, Ukraine is hard to pin down in a genre. I also have it opening the show.

Melodi always looks cheap and boring... I mean ok for national selection but not for something as grand as Eurovision... I want the stage to be functional in a way that it really adds personality to each entrant and doesn't make them all blend... maybe there's a way to make that without LED's, but I think LED-screens are an easy way to give every entrant their own unique style and "individuality" vision-wise.

This is what I've come up with for semi 1. It's difficult with all the ballads at the start. You have to keep Ukraine and Russia apart a little as they're both peddling the same sort of big-voice Disney cliche thing. I've also given Netherlands the best draw I can, as everyone wants them to finally qualify. Denmark are a bit early as you want at least one good song near the start. There isn't an obvious choice for the big finish, so I've gone with a syrupy ballad ending instead.

The big problem with my running order is that Austria are one of the most likely countries to kick up a fuss and withdraw. It's their fault, though, for having an eye-catching intro to the song and making it a good opener.

1 Austria
2 Estonia
3 Ukraine
4 Denmark
5 Croatia
6 Russia
7 Slovenia
8 Netherlands
9 Serbia
10 Lithuania
11 Ireland
12 Moldova
13 Belarus
14 Montenegro
15 Belgium
16 Cyprus

While I don't have an ideal running order for Semi Final 1, I think it would be best that Montenegro goes last and Belarus would go at least 3 positions above them. Probably put Belgium and Cyprus between them.

For Semi Final 2, however, either Romania, Greece, or Albania should go last.

I decided I will not play along with EBU on here and make my own lists of running-orders and somehow accept this change... this change will forever remain unacceptable !

No one has mentioned something very important.
For the grand final, countries will pick which half of the show they will compete in! This will be drawn out at the semifinal qualifiers press conference after each semifinal.
