I agree, I would like it too. It would bring a little bit of originality. I'm really bored of our entries, nothing original, always boring. But our composers like only western type of music. I'm trying to remember the last Romanian song with ethnic elements that I heard I think it's this: "Romanian club life", a mix of Romanian folklore and modern music.

I don't know if we'll ever send a song with ethnic elements in ESC. But, I think, they can do something interesting if they use authentic Romanian folklore and not fake folklore. Until then, let's dance! because it will be a long wait (Wedding ritual from a small region in northern Romania).

Our etnic music is not for Eurovsion. It didn't know any musical progress from 70's until today. And almoust any trying of progress sounds awful, like a kitsch. Balkan ballades souns great, but we don't have artists for such music. Maybe only Fuego and Raoul tryed a similar sound in previous years, but you will not hear any of them on radio. I think that Romania should try with the style were all Europe know that we can be very good: dance.

Our TRADITIONAL, AUTHENTIC ethnic music CAN BE for Eurovision. The problem is not with our ethnic music but with our composers!
Look how our brothers Moldavians use ethnic music and they were Successful in Esc! "Hora din Moldova", Zdob si Zdub"...

I so hope for a great Romanian entry, if we not count Cezar who was amazing in a different way, it has been pretty dull the recent years from Romania. Now it must be time for a song that can reach the top 10!

So TVR have decided not to internally select Romaian-Belgian international superstar Mona Mihaela trifu. Despite the fact I sent the endless amounts of money and Belgian chocolates to buy their support. I was guaranteed she would be internally selected to avoid the farce of a corrupt national final. I am disgusted right now and I should have known they couldn't do a a clean job. I hope they pick trash and fail to qualify.

Romania will decide their entry in March!
Selecţia Naţională will once again be the mechanism used by Romanian broadcaster TVR to choose the country’s Eurovision representative. TVR has also confirmed that the national selection will take place some time in March, although a specific date has not yet been chosen.

Romania has opted to use a national final for all of their Eurovision participations since 1993, so today’s announcement comes as little surprise. Who will we see as the successors of Paula and Ovi? We’ll find out in a few months!
