So this is a brand new girlsband from portugal. all of them were part of idolos ( the portuguese version of american idol) and i think they would be great in esc! what do you think?

It's time for a man to represent us. Withdraw or a boy, please.

Another interesting act:

Expensive Soul (funk, soul, hip-hop)

Too bad the best acts don't give a damn about Eurovision.

I like these guys, they are cool! I remember I liked a song of them from last year, don't remember the title now!

Hmm, they are interesting, but girls band never do well in ESC. Remember Feminnem, No Angels...

Re: PORTUGAL 2013

I'd love if Expensive Soul or David Carreira represent us. The problem is that Eurovision is irrelevant in Portugal (for known reasons) and no big act cares much about it.

RTP should just select internally a big act and then a nice song. But since they are addicted to Festival da Canção it won't ever happen. This tired formula (national final, unknown singers, juries) must be changed in 2013. It's not working, even though we came 13th place in the SF (LOL!). If they want to keep those juries to choose more Disney ballads, well, withdrawal seems to be the best option. Money shouldn't be wasted like that.

I'm a withdrawal supporter, but I'm curious about what RTP will do about this. And they better send a man next time.

Mickael would be also a good choice. But David can sing and his voice is nice and soft. He just moves and dances a lot.

if lordi and ell and nikki won then i think a girls/boy band can also. the only problem is the song, for example in 2010 feminem failed 2010 and i was truly shocked cause i thought they were amazing, but no angels were awfull. they had a great song but the ruined it live.

They do much better than boy bands though.

I'm not a big fan of pop groups in Eurovision either. I prefer a male singer next time.

Don't forger Russia 2012

However, Russia 2007 out of these are probably the only conventional girl-band.

Re: PORTUGAL 2013

Is it true that Nelly Furtado with song "Força" was considered to represent Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest 2004????????? :O :O
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Força

I did'nt know that!

I read that some place before, would have been a great Portuguese entry. If true, it's just as depressing as BBC apparently would have turned down Katie Melua in favor of some crap.

I dunno what these broadcasters think about some time?

Maybe Portugal should try a song in that style next year? Could be great. Nelly's new project is flopping, maybe she's up for the idea of representing Portugal in Eurovision?
