Re: Possible Hosts for 2013

I don't know why she would say no, but I think I remember reading an interview with her earlier this year (after her hosting success of MF and whether she had her eyes set on hosting Eurovision) where she said something of the likes that she wasn't sure she'd do something like that again, even though she loved it. But I could be wrong.

I remember that interview actually, she said it was mad stressful when she was a performer in MF and she thought hosting it would be different, but it was worse, and she said if it wasn't for support from Gina Dirawi and Helena Bergstrom, she wouldn't be able to hack it. Hosting the Eurovision solo doesn't sound like something she could take if that's the case

Re: Possible Hosts for 2013

It´s stupid to have just one person to host ESC. Even in Melodifestivalen they have had 3 hosts last year! Can´t they really aford for one man and one woman?
However, if it is just one person, I think Sarah Dawn Finer would be a great choice. She has the right sense of humour but can also be serious when needed.

Ehm? You have a weird idea about what 'criticism' means, but that's another discussion.

No, he is just a dreadful person and not really funny to begin with... couldn't really care less about his political views because all in the cultural sector are PC sheep so it doesn't really matter who we'd choose there, I don't want him simply because he is not enjoyable what so ever.

GD + ES?

Gina Dirawi (I know you don't like her :p but she sure shan't make any political statements) and Eric Saade. Both are young, good-looking and gifted entertainers which share a lot of ESC experience. They'd be the perfect couple IMHO.

In Melodifestivalen, it makes sense to have more hosts because that program targets a specific country and the interaction of the presenters adds to the entertainment of the program. In ESC, one host just needs to move things along and present what needs to be presented. It will cut down time and be more efficient because more hosts would have to juggle the script between each other and more often that not, we get lame banter between them or rehearsed jokes and bits that just never land like they are supposed to.

Re: Possible Hosts for 2013

Until Anke I never really cared or worried about the hosts. Most of them were annoying and their monologues were too time consuming. To me the host's job is to get the show rolling and announce the votes. Sure you have to be charismatic and entertaining but the most important thing to me is effectiveness.
