1: All consider Italy 2011 to be a quality entry?? You hear what you want to hear. Many people think Sweden was better. Many people think that Italy did well only because the juries(EBU?) wanted Italy to say in the competition.

2: because the others unlike Italy didn't jump in the big 5 after being abscent in over 10 years. But yes I hate this big 5 thing no matter which country we are talking about.

3. No, I didn't like Italy 2012 because it's swedish. I think it's just pathetic a big 5 country take help from an another country.

4. Well, it tells very much about Italy's taste when 40 countries gave Sweden's entry points and Italy alone didn't do that.

1. Judging to our result, I think that your "many people" are more less than you think... Most of people (and I'm talking of esperts, too) judge Gualazzi a quality singer (he's a jazz singer, besides)
2. If I remember good it depends from money, so it doesn't change if Italy was present or not. To me, they also could delete this rule, so all start on a par. And I'd like to remember you that maybe the fact of makeing 2 performances and not only one is an advantage...
3. So, let's join a rule in way all countries make a songs without any help. Maybe it would be better, we have a very ymportant musical tradition.
4. But we last year received more points than you... and people don't have taste... this year you win... and people have taste. This is transform facts and take them at its advantage depending on the situation, my dear.

Another thing Nike... I think you are a bit (but just a a bit ) exaggerating... My advice is that of be more calm, so we can debate in a civil way...

Anyway, if you want to know I liked a lot Nina Zilli's song, but it wasn't my favourite.
I'd give 12 points to Bosnia, 10 to Finland, 8 to Macedonia and other songs I liked were those of Iceland, Cyprus, Israel, Croatia, Slovenia, serbia, switzerland, albania, german, denmark... As you can see, Sweden isn't absolutely in my favourite, but I think I don't have a bad taste only because I didn't vote your song. I think it's unbelievable that a person can hate a country only because he got 0 points from it... bah, life's misterys.

If you want to know more about Italian's voting, look here: http://www.escforums.com/t7798-8/#post829561

You can't compare italy 2011 and sweden 2012. Sweden won both televoting and juries. Italy won only the juries. Italy 2011 was only 11th among the televoters. Saade was more popular than Italy in the televoting and ended 2nd only 2 points behind Azerbaijan. So no 2011 don't reflect what Europe thought. Actually more countries voted for Sweden than Italy in 2011. Sweden was head of Italy until the last voting country.

So no Italy not voting for Sweden in 2012 tells everything about their taste.

Sweden 2012 had 151 more points than the winner 2011. Winner 2012 can't be compared with anything in 2011.

BTW I don't dislike Italy for not give sweden points. I always have disliked Italy in ESC. I didn't missed Italy when you didn't participate.

Yes, in fact I think i'm wasting my time in answering. I think it's better if I go to bed. :D

EDIT: Ok, I can't do without answering.

Omg... personally I don't know the cause of all this swedish "success", but it doesn't change I don't like swedish entries of 2011 and 2012. Is this so difficult for you to accept this? And anyway the result is a mix of televoting and jury, so you can't ignore what jury think.

Omg... but what does this mean? How can you say: "I don't want italy next year because I don't like Italy's song" if still we don't know what will be italian song for 2013? You have a lot of prejudices...

Some people in here are so upset about I'm not like their amazing, world class, precious ITALY!
We were talking about the fact that it wasn't still confirmed italy's return, like someone believed... the person who made an inopportune comment was another...

The only thing I'm f***ing, is stupid
Personally, I see Italy as a must for ESC as the fact That without Italy, ESC would not have existed at all. Thats a theory why the EBU wants Italy back in the competition so badly before the'' Comeback'' Another reason why we need Italy this year again is that Italy is great as a eurovsion country.

Both the last two entrys and some of the entrys in the past was great. Some examples of old'good classics are (Era 1975) and (Nel blu dipinto di blu 1958). Even if this year entry is written by sweds, but both Ninas performance and the song has the Italian feel that you all can point out that the song IS Italian don't Swedish.

I think you are the only one who is upset here, and if you have some problems (and judging to your comments, you do), you need to solve them with yourself before the discussion can continue in a nice and civilized way.

No more provocations on the topic!

...

It is so difficult for YOU to accept I don't like italy as ESC country? I only said my opinion in one post and then you some other Italy lovers(Sweden-haters) are going mad. Still the televoting clearly show that Europeans wanted and liked Sweden and Saade better than that boring Italian entry I even can't remember.

I have already answered you in the other post, but you ignore it... http://www.escforums.com/t7798-8/#post829561

Sorry, but that post didn't help you at all. You said what I said: Italy don't care a **** about ESC. RAI don't even want to win. Why participate at all then? Why is a country that don't want to win already in the final...?? There are countries that wants to win so badly but even can't qualify to the final. It's very unfair that Italy who not care or wants to win is in final. Even worse is when people compare Italy with Sweden and say Italy is so much better than Sweden. Sweden, a country who actually cares alot about ESC. Who wants to win and really contribute to ESC. Look at the amount of Sweden written songs in this years final. 10!

Italy has never had a song I liked. So why 2013 after 50 years? You also probably have fave ESC countries? Why? Yes there are countries that you expect to have good songs because they often sends songs that you like. Prejudices? Yes, but all people do that. That's why we have fave ESC countries.

We were talking about the fact that it wasn't still confirmed italy's return, like someone believed... the person who made an inopportune comment was another
No I said my opinion about Italy and then you and some other people just can't accept that someone dislike your precious, amazing Italy. If Italy cares about ESC then why haven't they confirmed the participation already? Especially as Big 5 member.

You should be complaining about the split jury/televote system, and not Italy. It seems that you hate the juries. Well, that's life, rules changed, before 1998 there were only juries.

PS. I am an Italy lover and a Sweden lover, when it comes to their ESC entries, but loving a country in ESC doesn't have to mean I must love all their entries. In fact, there's no country I love all entries. Overall, I think that Italy has been a better ESC country than Sweden.

.

Again, UK, France, Spain also doesn't give a hoot about winning, especially the UK - just look at their last entries and you'll know what I mean. Yet, you are only bashing Italy - following your logic, you should be hating UK as much as Italy.

says the one who cannot believe a person can't like Loreen and Euphoria

Well Loreen and Euphoria have done much better than any of the Italian entries...

And I understand that Loreen and Euphoria isn't loved by all people. Believe me as a Swede I'm very clear of the Sweden haters... Sweden's entry is one of the most bashed every year. The beloved Italy don't take as much bashing as Sweden do every year.

The difference between Italy and the other big 5 is that the others have already confirmed their participation. Italy hasn't. That's one reason to why I take UK more seriously.

No I don't understand what you mean about UK entries? Why is Russia 2012 more serious than UK 2012? Because they ended top 2? Why is Italy 2011 and 2012 more serious entries than UK 2011 and UK 2012? Only because they finished higher..? If so Sweden wasn't serious 2010 and Norway wasn't serious 2011 and 2012? Also UK and the other big 5 haven't been abscent in 10 years and now when they are back are saying they don't want to win.

Ask any person from the UK on this forum - they'll all tell you what do their country think of UK. It's considered a joke contest there. They are not even trying to send something good (apart from 2009), that's why they don't take the contest seriously. And it's not that they finish mid-table, but they occupy last places almost all the time. And not even one song of their impressed me from the last years apart from 2009.

Well Blue finished 11th in 2011. Not that bad for a country who don't take it seriously or? Its only two places lower than your beloved Nina Zilli from your beloved Italy this year. But how is Russia 2012 much better than UK 2012? Russia 2012 if anything is considered as a joke by many people.

United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Look at their placings from 2003 - very low, and 3 times they were last.

I never said Russia 2012 is good, I hate that song, and I think UK had a better one, BUT a weak one, nevertheless.

Sweden since 2003:
5th
5th
19th
5th
18th
18th
21th
Missed the final
3rd
Winner

In the half of the contests Sweden ended in the bottom in the table or even missed final. Sweden had 4 very bad ESC in the row before 2011 when we come back with the first top 3 placement since Charlotte's win in 1999.

Don't Sweden take the ESC seriously either?

You say UK 2012 is weak?? But you also think the winner 2012 is horrible so what do this mean at all?

I was saying to ask some UK people here, and they'll tell you the same thing as me - it's considered a parody/comedy/joke type of contest.

This means that taste is subjective. Anyway, in my avatar you can see the singer, which in my opinion had the best song this year.

I know, but still UK has already confirmed participation unlike Italy. Also I never heard bbc saying that they don't want to win ESC as RAI have said. Italy comeback two years ago and they already are saying they don't want to win.

I agree.

Netherlands was one of my faves too and should have qualified to final. Not sure if they take ESC seriously or not but they keep trying year after year. They have missed the final in 8 years in row. And in the final we have big 5 members as Italy who come back two years ago and already are saying they don't want to win. That's not fair. And Netherlands already have confirmed their participation to 2013 unlike Italy.
