Hm, is this more like a rumor or actually a hint that they'll take part?

The song they added is very much in the style of the first Montenegrin entries... and we all know how that went down... so the entry better won't be in this style, or else it'll be just another flop for them.
Wikipedia says that :it: Italy has confirmed? o-:

Yes, but all people can edit wikipedia... while I didn't find any official confirms... so, I don't think it's true. Last year, I remember that the confirm arrived late than this period.

I will be more than happy if Italy withdrew again. They have done nothing for me in ESC. I will not miss Italy and ESC will do just fine without them as it's done in the past in so many years.

Italianeurofan is right. And anyway I think that if we have confirm of our participation, we'll have it in italian language first than in other languages. :D

I hope you don't speak so only because we gave 0 points to loree. Anyway i think that if there are more participants is better.

I agree, I was happy to see Italy back in 2011, and I hope they won't withdraw again, plus the 2012 entry was quite good.

ESC would be fine with any other country out, too. I don't get your point.
Not all other countries were gone in over 10 years and now suddenly is direct qualified to the final every year. Once again what's so good with have Italy back?

What's so good about having Sweden? Or Russia? Or Portugal?

They are a European country, and are eligible to enter like any other European country. If their broadcaster wants to participate I don't see any objections. If that isn't enough, Italy has a rich ESC history.

They are in the big 5, because they contribute a lot of money to EBU, if they wouldn't, they wouldn't be in the big 5. If that's the reason why you don't want Italy in ESC, then you should not want UK, France, Germany, and Spain also.
