Well, you can't anticipate what people will think. To name a few examples won't help (my husband doesn't like Eurovision and Rybak was one of three songs he said he liked at all so... now?).

Each of the top contenders have their advantages and disadvantages. Being famous can help but does not necessarily. Just think of Dana international. She had a really good catchy song, imho even better than her winning song, but she didn't even make it to the final. That happened to most of the returned. Johnny Logan was an exception.

What I think Rybak benefits most from, besides a really catchy, easy to get song and a great performance, is that his roots are in an ex-sovjet country, therefore collecting a lot of points from there too, possibly.

This is the best contest opener, like, ever! So catchy and fun! I like it more than Fairytale!

And what about Charlotte Perelli? She was 5th at the odds, but she barely managed to go in final, and her song was really good, unlike Rybak's.

Fairytale was way better, but How to write a song is just very different. But I like it very much too now. Actually can't understand why people are SO afraid that this could win. I know that music taste is subjective, but I don't understand the "negative" hype around the song now. Just because it is 2nd? Becuase the danger is near that it could win?

Rybak is just from those singers who has no career outside eurovision and wants to get 2nd hype wave 9 years after first wave with Fairytale

lmao so much hate and whining in this thread. you know what? go for the win! xheat xheat S l a y

And Alexander has a career, but not one where he vomits a new song every three weeks like some other singers. A bigger career than the Flop Quen Loreen xheat

Hmm I think she even was the odds favorite that year, and also the fan favorite.

Remember I thought we would win that year, well that was not the case...

As for Norway and Rybak, I think the song is somehow catchy, but i don´t think he will win.
Sure he will probably be top 10 with televotes, but juries will not buy this.

There is much hate here because the song is terrible and at the same time he goes for the win! People don't like terrible songs winning!

I don't know how she flopped, she was one of my favorites that year, I voted for her and Ani Lorak. Yes, she won Scorewiz, and Ogae Polls, people were talking that she is big favorite, it was in my country then, the competition. :) Lets hope Rybak will follow same path again.

THYWAS is far from being as awesome as Amar Pelos Dois was. That's the main point of people(including me), who are complaining over there.

I don't dislike the song. It is catchy, I like Alexander and his energy on stage and I think it is an entry Norway can be proud of. But I'd be disappointed if this wins. I can't really explain why, but it's not a winner song for me.
It's perhaps the chorus. This step one, step two thing where he pretends to give a recipe for a good song and then basically says - like it. That's the part that puts me off. This might be the reason I don't want this to win.

I would be so upset if this song wins, but at least, I would glee if his victory is received with a big booing from the audience

Even though I am norwegian I dont think this deserves to win - it's quite far down my list. But I definitely wont be booing this if it actually wins. Nore will I boo any other winning entry - even the ones I dont like. And I am sure the rest of the crows will be mature enough to applaud any winner.
