When Norway released their songs I was completely horrified by Rybak's song and found it a disgusting disturbing mess and didn't listen to it again... till now.
And... I don't find it SO bad. The "scat" or whatever that is part still gives me a bit of stomach pain but generally it's not THAT tragic. It's ok, funny enough, a lot silly, but I think I can live with it. EscGeek perfectly used his voodoo.
Probably it's because we need something like "That’s how you write a song" (still, this is not how you do it) in this season. I still prefer like 4 or 5 songs in this selection (lol, this says a lot considering the level) over Rybak but I won't be a hater if this wins.

I hope it wins too. It's the catchiest song and it's not like the international juries will know what he's singing about.

Because I like the song? It's not usually my type of music, but it's a total earworm and smartly written. Rebecca on the other hand has a powerful emotional ballad with an important message. I love both of them.
Why does my taste have to have a "common theme"? I like good songs, pretty much irrespective of genre. I'm more inclined to ballads, ethnic music and rock/metal, and less inclined to chart pop, synth stuff,, bangers, rap and RnB. But I like almost all genres, if I think the songs are done well.
